Selkirk Journal - Brook Jones 19 13 13 8 53 Brook Jones of the Selkirk Journal is this year's winner of the MCNA photographer of the year award. Brook demonstrated a great eye in his photography. His understanding of his subjects and consistency in dramatic and interesting photos in tight and close cropped shots demonstrates a photographer that understands what it takes to get a good photo time after time for his readers. His photo of the release of a snowy owl from the opposite side of the crowd demonstrates he knows where he wants to be before the photos happens. Brook knows how to get in close, how to use light, angle and timing. Great work.
