About the SymposiumEvery year in the United States preterm delivery affects 1 in every 10 births, or approximately 400,000 births each year. The care of this very vulnerable population of infants has become exceedingly more complicated as survival rates improve. This symposia will provide a comprehensive evidence-based update in neonatal nutritional advances and discussions involving CPR in the delivery room, therapeutics hypothermia and outcomes, current management of hypoxemic respiratory failure and updates on neonatal intestinal failure.
Learning ObjectivesAt the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:• Review current methods to maintain a healthy microbiome.• Discuss improving the use of breast milk in the NICU.• Review management of hypoxemic respiratory failure.• Review management of the ELBW infant in the Golden Minutes of life.• Review the use of point of care ultrasound by the neonatologist in the NICU.
