One design includes new left turn lanes on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue onto 15th Street East. The other design considers a roundabout at this intersection. Both options require right-of-way acquisition. The project also includes design to add sidewalk at the following locations: The project also includes pedestrian ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines. The project replaces the existing Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) transit stop on the northwest corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and 16th Street East.
