Dear Colleague,

It is with great pleasure, that I invite you to the North Devon Cardiology Symposium on behalf of Bayer. The day’s content is designed for GPs, Nurses, Practice Pharmacists & all health care professionals interested in Cardiology throughout Devon.

As you will know, cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death in the UK. Clearly, this has a great burden on our local community. North Devon District Hospital Cardiology Department is keen to provide concise and up to date education on managing the key common cardiovascular conditions, to provide you with the latest knowledge and skills to optimally manage patients within primary care.

In this meeting, we will focus on different cohorts of patients with cardiovascular diseases. The talks will aim to focus on the practical aspects of management in primary care, the latest local and national guidelines, common dilemmas when faced with these patients and how to manage them, as well as when to refer for specialist advice. We have included a range of speakers with specialist interests, which we believe will be both informative and engaging.

Each topic will comprise a 30-minute presentation, followed by 15 minutes for questions and to discuss interesting clinical cases. We will then finish with a multidisciplinary panel; to get the most from this, please contribute any complex cases when registering or bring them with you on the day.

I very much look forward to welcoming you at this meeting.

If you would like to attend, please call: April Rosson on 07976 684751 or email: [email protected]

Best wishes,

Dr Christopher Gibbs
