OFFERTORY PRAYER Rev. Randy Allen

OFFERING OUR GIFTS TO GOD Please give the attendance slips to the usher as the offering is received.

OFFERTORY “The Gift of Love” Hal Hopson

Though I may speak with bravest fire, and have the gift to all inspire, and have not love; my words are vain, as sounding brass, and hopeless gain. Though I may give all I possess, and striving so my love profess, but not be giv’n by love within, the profit soon turns strangely thin. Come spirit, come, our hearts control, our spirits long to be made whole. Let inward love guide every deed. By this we worship and are freed. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER Rev. Jimmy Mixson

The Lord be with you.

And also with you.

Let us pray.

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tres pass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

L eapin’ Lizards! The

irrepressible comic strip heroine

takes center stage in one of the

world’s best-loved musicals.

Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, “Annie” has become a

world-wide phenomenon. It was the winner of seven Tony Awards in-

cluding Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Thomas Meehan,

Charles Strouse and Martin Charmin features some of the greatest musi-

cal theatre hits ever written, including “Tomorrow.”

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms

everyone’s hearts despite a next-to nothing start in 1930’s New York

City. She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years

before on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel,

embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Or-

phanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC.

Finding herself on a street lined with tenements, she comes upon a mutt

she names Sandy. They then wander into a Hooverville: a depression era

shantytown, where she is discovered by the police and returned to the

orphanage. Upon her return, Grace Farrell, Oliver Warbuck’s private

secretary, arrives and chooses Annie to spend the Christmas holidays

with the billionaire. He is instantly drawn to her spunk and grit.

Grace Farrell then returns to the orphanage to tell Miss Hannigan that

Warbucks wants to adopt Annie. Hannigan, along with her brother

Rooster, scheme to use Warbuck’s desire to adopt Annie as a way to ex-

tort money for themselves. Daddy Warbucks, upon realizing Annie’s

desire to find her parents, resolves to find them for her.

Adventure after fun-filled adventure follows. Annie ultimately foils

Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations and even befriends President Frank-

lin Delano Roosevelt and inspires him to invent the New Deal in the

process. She also finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver War-

bucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a loveable mutt named

Sandy.
