A CALL TO FAST AND PRAY 3 DAYS MIDYEAR PRAYER AND FASTING
July 10-12, 2020 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray
and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14
NKJV (context 2 Chronicles 7:12-22 and Ephesians 6:10-20)
As we entered the second half of the year, we encourage all the LCC Pastors and Ministers,
Prayer Warriors and Intercessors, workers and members locally and globally, to humble
ourselves before the Lord together and to hear the mandate of the Lord in this season by
interceding for the current situation in these land so that the Glory of the Sovereign God may be
revealed in its splendor.
Once again, we the chosen and faithful people of God at LCC Global and local congregations, let
us seek the heart of our Heavenly Father and the specific plan of our Chief Shepherd, the Lord
Jesus Christ to be revealed to our leaders and to all of us.
We need the fresh anointing and empowerment of the Holy Spirit to navigate the new normal
and how to build and multiply His kingdom in our lives for the next 6 Months of 2020.
Let us all unite together interceding for the destruction of the evil disease Coronavirus Disease
(COVID-19) and the disruption of the second wave that will cause great famine on behalf of this
nation and all over the world and abolishing the strongholds built in the minds of every believer
and non-believers: FEAR, WORRIES, PANIC, UNBELIEF, DEPRESSION, FRUSTRATIONS.
The Lord is saying to His Intercessors to come forth in this season. It’s time for the Light of
Jesus to shine and His glory to be made known to all. It’s not the time to hide but to come out
for the nations to see His glory and to once again stand in awe and fear of the Lord.
Great is He who is the One seated on the throne.
Let the gospel of the KINGDOM be preached and displayed at this season of the year.
God is waiting to hear a sound from the intercessors that will shift the current situation to a
better atmosphere.
Let us continue to be that Dedicated and Devoted sons and daughters of GOD to pray and
intercede for God’s clear direction in all our individual prayer closets.
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. - Colossians 4:2 (NLT) And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. – Acts 2:42-43 (ESV)

1. Begin your time of fasting and prayer with an expectant heart (Hebrews 11:6 &
1 John 5:14-15)
2. Confess any sin that the Holy Spirit calls to your remembrance and accept God’s
forgiveness (1 John 1:9)
3. Seek forgiveness from all whom you have offended and forgive all who have hurt
you (Mark 11:23; Luke 11:4; 17:3,4)
4. Make restitution as the Holy Spirit leads you.
5. Ask God to fill you again with His Holy Spirit according to Ephesians 5:18 refuse
all ungodly influence. Ask for boldness Acts 4:29-31
6. Pray the prayer found in Ephesians 1:16-23
7. Meditate on Joshua 3:5 and Ephesians 1:16-23. Believe that each day that God
will reveal some aspect of Himself, His Power, His love, His wisdom, His
faithfulness, His glory and His will in you, in the church and in the world. Allow
the revelation the Holy Spirit gives to be incorporated into your praying the
Ephesians prayer.
8. Surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord & Master; ask for His
kingdom to come, His will to be done in you and in earth as it is in heaven.. refuse
to obey the flesh (Romans 12:1-2)
9. Recognize spiritual opposition. Satan sometimes intensifies that natural battle
between body and spirit (Galatians 5:16,17). Don’t give in!
10. Thank God for His presence, the blessings, the answers, the power, the glory, the
breakthrough for you, your church & the world!!
How should we prepare for a fast? Spiritual Preparation • Pray before you fast. Ensure that you communicate with God and seek His guidance regarding your fast. • Ask God to help you to examine your heart, detect and repent any unconfessed sins. Physical Preparation • Consult a doctor before fasting, in order to ensure that all of your vitals are stable. • If you have severe medical maladies you should definitely have professional supervision while fasting. • Decrease the amount of food that you eat a couple of days prior to the fast starting in order to prepare your mind, stomach, and appetite for less food. Types of Fasts The best way to choose the appropriate fast is to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit. Pray purposefully in identifying God’s purpose and direction in your fast. His direction is the only thing that will make the fast meaningful and significant. Partial Fast – abstains from food for a set time; eat a simple meal of bread & water; sacrifice a certain food.

Prayer of Commitment to Fast and Pray!
Father, we submit our wills to Your desires. We declare that it is an honor to co-labor with
You for Your divine intervention in the earth. Reveal this to each of us as the marvelous
privilege that it is. Give us the grace we surely need to fast and to pray. Lead us into all of
the applications that You would have us make in these days, as individuals and as groups
of people who love You. Thank you for making it possible for us to draw closer to You, even
as You draw closer to us. May we continue to be devoted in prayer, with an alert mind and
a thankful heart, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
