Skills for the week:Reading-(2.RL.1, 2.RI.1, 2.RL.5) Ask and answer questions (who, what, when, where) about details in the text. Use pictures and text to demonstrate understanding of characters, setting and plot. Describe the overall structure of a story, including describing how the beginning introduces the story and how the ending concludes the action.
Phonics-(2.RF.3) Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. (--aw, al words). Phonics First Beginning blends and -y /i/ sound.
Grammar-(2.L.1) Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation and spelling when writing.
Writing-(2.W.3, 2.W.8) Narrative writing-sequence of events-include details, temporal words and provide a sense of closure. Recall information from experiences.
Math-(2.MD.9, 2.MD.10) Draw a picture graph and a bar graph to represent a data set with up to four categories. Solve and compare problems using information presented in bar graph. Measure lengths of several objects to the nearest whole unit. Show the measurements by making a line plot, marked in whole number units.

notes and homework. Homework is sent home on Monday and is due back on Friday!! *Please make sure
your child reads the fluency passage each night and that you record their time for them!
