Joel 2:28-29And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will

Ezek 36:27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to

walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

PROPHECIES CONCERNING THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST

John 7:37-39In the last day, that great day of the

feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

• Jesus said that those that would believe according to the scriptures should receive the Holy Ghost.

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost The Fulfillment

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)

Did you catch that?

The baptism of the Holy Ghost is for You!

What do you have to do to receive it?

1- Believe that Jesus Christ is Almighty God come in the flesh and that he died, was buried and rose from the dead to purchase salvation for you.

2 - When you realize the powerful love in what Jesus did for you, you may begin to feel sorrow for the things that you have done that have offended Him, apologize for those things ( this is called repenting of your sins) and then forsake those things, with God’s help don’t do them anymore

3 - Be baptized (immersed totally in water) in the Name of Jesus Christ to have those sins washed away.

4 - Begin to worship and thank God for all that he has done for you and allow God to fill you with His Spirit! You may shake, cry, laugh or have other physical signs – don’t worry about it – after all you are meeting with Almighty God – no one knows how a person will react when you meet Jesus!

You will know you have received the Gift of the Holy Ghostwhen you hear yourself begin to speak in a foreign language.

Other Biblical Examples of People Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost• Peter Preaching to Cornelius’ householdActs 10:44-47

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.

Then answered Peter,Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

(KJV)

The Apostle Paul talking with the men at Ephesus

Acts 19:2-72 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye

believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

7 And all the men were about twelve.(KJV)

Other Biblical Examples of People Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost

What is the difference if any between the Gift of the Holy Ghost

and the 9 Gifts of the Spirit? This is one of the most misunderstood topics in scripture. The Gift of the Holy Ghost is made known in a persons life

when they speak in a foreign language this however is not the “Gift of Tongues” mentioned in Cor.12:10

The Gift of the Holy Ghost is for salvation and you speak in tongues as a sign to know that Gods’ spirit is now indwelling you, speaking in tongues in this manner is for self-edification (encouragement).

1 Cor 14:4He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;(KJV)

This type of speaking in tongues is NEVER Interpreted in the Bible, it’s a personal prayer

language between you and God.

Page 13: A Compilation of Scriptures But ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. Acts 1:8

The Gift of Tongues, however is used for the Edification (encouragement) of the whole Church and must be interpreted to be understood by all…

1 Cor 14:5I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye

prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

(KJV)The “Gift of Tongues” and the “Gift of Interruption of Tongues”

work hand in hand to edify the church. When this type of speaking in tongues happens in a church

service the tongues are extremely loud, they carry authority and it is easily recognized by the church as a message in tongues; what usually happens is that the church will then become silent and wait for the interpretation to come in the common language.

This is a very powerful move of God and very encouraging but totally different from one person who maybe worshipping

God and speaking in tongues in his personal prayer language.

• It will give you power over, you own sins, death, the devil, and give you the power to witness.

• When Christ returns for his Church if you Have the Gift of the Holy Ghost then you will rise to meet him in the Air!

Rom 8:11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in

you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
