She is also currently an opinion writer with the New York Times, focusing on immigration and asylum issues. Joining Nazario in conversation about her experiences reporting on immigration and the current state of journalism is Joaquin Alvarado, founder of Studiotobe and former CEO of the Center for Investigative Reporting. This free public forum is presented in partnership with the Bakersfield College's Distinguished Speakers Series.
