Port Kembla ldquoOk I will say Port Kemblahellip With the Steel Works although it is a big icon of Wollongong I used to study art and I drew the Steel Works once and if you look at from an artistrsquos perspective you see it differentlyrdquo

ldquoif you go out of Wollongong the reception is that it is itrsquos still perceived outside as being a dirty steel townrdquo (Male 62)

Network topology in-flows ndash Port Kembla ldquoIn Port Kembla I know therersquos a push to make it more of a arty kind of place Itrsquos my opinion that the council should encourage everybody to rent out their all those derelict shops for like $20 a week for art studios make people to come there and make it into an arts community Therersquos about 6 shops in like 2 massive blocks of shops in Port Kembla that are actually open and operating It just looks like crap Surely its just better for everybody to encourage it to become an arts community which I know some people have already thought ofhellip if yoursquore an artist you can hire a studio space that you can potentially sell out of for very little money I think therersquos plenty of people that would take that opportunity lsquocause when yoursquore an artist having somewhere to create your work is a challengerdquo (Female 29 Coledale)
