My day usually begins with……….

I’m okay though…..mostly

Entering the games room a.k.a the Warzone!

Lunchtime is being served

We have an amazing group of kids

• Baking Club

• Drama Club

• Computers

• Digital Arts

• Ethnic Cooking

• Ceramics

• Gang Awareness

• Date Smart

• Conflict Resolution

• Photo Journalism

• Ultimate Frisbee

• Face Painting

• I am not my hair

Different Clubs!

Ethnic Cooking • Ethnic cooking consists of

teaching the kids different

foods from different

cultures. We begin by giving

a small background such as,

origins of the food, benefits

and what the food uses are.

THE TEAM!! First Session

Conflict and Resolution • Purpose of this program is to

create an environment where

kids learn how to resolve

conflict and deal with anger

management

• Kids do skits

• Bully zone cards

• Talk about scenarios and what to do

Eg: How to deal with a bully

Games Room!! (Back to the warzone!)

Gym Time!

Time to go home!

Purpose of the Boys and Girls Club

Overall what I have learned working at the

Boys & Girls club is that this is an

environment where young people are given

the opportunity to meet new friends. To get

involved in enriching programs, where they

can display their talents and develop new

ones. It is a safe environment that provides

these kids with opportunities that they

normally might not have access to.
