Drive up after 8:35 am. You will be directed by the Knights of Columbus to come into the parking lot, parking in every other space, and tune in your car Radio to FM 104.1.

A Knight will greet you and will be offering the opportunity for you to take a bulletin and/or drop off your offering envelope. Please stay in your car for the short Communion Service broadcast through your car radio.

    Then when it’s time for Communion, you can stand outside your car for the priest or deacon to come to you and distribute Holy Communion to you. If unable to stand comfortably, stay in your car and roll the window down;

then you can receive the Eucharist in your hand, through the open window. Please stay until after the closing prayer. Please Help by notifying and/or bringing those who are elderly and/or not able to be in the Mass,

because of compromised health conditions, that this is available for them, without the need to sign up. If you have questions, Please call the Office at 630-338-8000, from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday.

Dear Parishioners, I hope your Advent preparations are going well. It’s all about letting Christ find a home in the stable of your heart. Let’s make room for him by cleaning out anything that’s in the way. Our lives are messy, but that’s where Christ chooses to be born. In our mess. Thereby redeeming it and us. Some parishioners have done some cleaning up of their own by helping an older couple, who are parishioners, rake the leaves from their yard; being courageously attuned to this couples’ needs with free flowing generosity and making Jesus real. Thanks to Eric Wyman, Omar Brucal, Alex Schroeder, Ed Krukiewicz, Joe Murray, Paul Stippich, Jeff Theisen and sons Gavin and Hudson, Mark Hopkinson, Doug Patrick and Pat Naughton. I came across this picture while cleaning out some old files. It’s from 2001 when St. Patrick had the Millennium Statue of our Lady. I had brought a group from Holy Cross where I was pastor. I was standing next to Msgr. Linster. What a picture. Peace, Msgr. Deutsch

  • 7 OUR PARISH VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Our Live Stream Masses and Events have helped us to reach over 3,000 people every week online. We have been working hard to improve our live stream capabilities and to make our virtual events more accessible to better serve all of you during these trying times.

To continue our mission of Making Jesus First and bringing more and more of our parish opportunities online, we need your help. All are Welcome! Adults & High School Students.* We are looking for volunteers to give as little as 1-hour per month to help with live streaming our Masses. The system is easy and the results are incredible!

Your "yes" to helping us 1 - hour per month can make the Mass accessible to yours or someone else’s family member who hasn't been able to attend Mass in months.

Thank you in advance for joining in our mission to Make Jesus First and for assisting with our Live Stream Team.

To help, contact Miguel Calderon by email at [email protected] or use the QR code to have someone get in touch with you.

You can sign up by clicking this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c4aafa72fa3f85-live

*Please note there will be some training and Safe Environment paperwork needed before you start.

A one stop location to find out any necessary information about the parish and our ministries. If a message needs to be delivered to the priests or staff, the Welcome Desk Volunteer can assist. If a parishioner is unsure what room their Meeting is in, or they have any other parish or policy related questions, they will ask at the Welcome Desk.

“God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called!”

So…All are Welcome! Adults & High School Students*

If you’re a High School Student Needing Service Hours, please email your info to Mike Zak. We will be there this weekend so please visit us.

The Hours of Operation are: Saturdays: 3:30 to 5:15pm; Sundays: 7:30 am to 9:15 am, 9 am to 10:45 am, 10:30am to 12:15 pm and 4:30 to 6:15 pm for the 5:00 pm Mass.

If you would like more information or to Volunteer to be a part of this Ministry Team, please contact Mike Zak at [email protected] or call 630-215-5577.

*Please note there will be some training and Safe Environment paperwork needed before you start.

Have you ever had the desire to serve our Lord in a more fulfilling way? With the current pandemic, the parish is in an even greater need for New Volunteers. You can help by serving in one of our Liturgical Ministries here at St. Patrick.

We are in need of volunteers who are willing to serve as a Sacristan, as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, as a Lector or as an Usher. When you attend the Mass of your choice, you can help us while you are there by participating in one of these ministries. The only requirements are: #1 – A desire for more blessings as you serve #2 – Be at least 16 years of age and Confirmed #3 – Complete the Safe Environment requirements.

Please prayerfully consider helping the parish grow these ministries and spread the load. Then you can contact Donna Fike at [email protected] or Kevin True at [email protected] or 630-240-0437, for information. We will then discuss with you what is involved with each of the ministries and seek your interest in service. Training will be scheduled soon after the information sharing is completed. Thank you very much for your consideration.

  • 9 HISPANIC MINISTRY / AROUND THE PARISH

Stock the Pantry Advent Project Liturgy of the Word for Children is sponsoring a drive this Advent season to help stock the local food pantry run by the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The StVdP Society serves local families facing difficult financial times and provides assistance in many ways. The food pantry is located in the lower level of our Downtown Church. This is a wonderful way for your family to help out those in need during Advent. We invite the children of our parish to become directly involved by donating items and praying for the people who will receive them, as well as possibly using some of their own money and to pray over each item they donate. Since the food pantry will be well-stocked with food after Thanksgiving, we are asking that other items be donated. The following is a list of what will be collected during Advent on December 6 & 13: • Napkins • Paper Towels • Kleenex • Toilet Paper • Laundry Detergent • Fabric Softener • Diapers (all sizes) Please place your items in the collection boxes at the Crane Road Church or leave your items in the lower level of the Downtown Church. We thank you for your support! Please feel free to contact Jackie Balster at (847) 609-6964 or Deacon Jerry Ryndak at (630) 338-8164 with any questions. May God Bless You and your family this Advent Season!

Pray the Chaplet of DIVINE MERCY at 3 p.m.

Our Lord promised extraordinary graces to those who recite this special prayer. The chaplet is

prayed on rosary beads. It is appropriate to pray the Chaplet during the

“Hour of Great Mercy” at 3:00 pm each afternoon.

This recalls the time of Christ’s death on the cross.

Presently, the churches are Open for private prayer Monday — Fri day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
