The Levibreton KFM are available in various configurations and with various fittings, and they can operate as individual units or can be integrated into a complete processing plant.They can be fitted with calibrating spindles or polishing spindles and the number of spindles mounted can vary depending on the Customer’s precise production requirements.

High-power and High-precision calibrating unitsThe calibrating spindles are mounted to a robust cast iron monolithic structure which practically eliminates vibrations generated when operating even during intensive work cycles. A recirculating ball screw assembly positions the diamond plate guaranteeing constant precision and performance reliability.This system also automatically raises the spindle in the event the conveyor belt shuts down preventing the diamond tool from excessively machining the workpiece, and then when restarted the spindle automatically returns to its preset machining depth.The machining depth for each spindle is visualised on a digital display with a precision to hundredths. To guarantee such high-precision machining encoders detect and monitor the position of the spindle rather than the ball screw assembly which moves the spindle.The recirculating ball screw assembly system adopted for raising the spindle guarantees fast and precise spindle movements without wear, unlike conventional trapezoidal screw systems which in emergency conditions only allow for controlling vertical positioning of the spindle and do not raise and lower spindle.Dynamically balanced large diameter and dimensioned diamond tools combined with high-powered motors, ensure high-speed machining performance.The diamond are fitted with a removable external crown that allows for quick diamond segment assembly and fitting.

Gruppi calibratoriad alta precisione e potenzaI mandrini calibratori sono montati su una robusta struttura monolitica in ghisa capace di praticamente annullare le vibrazioni in lavoro anche di gravosa asportazione.Un sistema vite/chiocciola a ricircolo di sfere di posizionamento del piatto diamantato garantisce affidabilità e precisione costanti.Lo stesso sistema provvede anche a sollevare automaticamente il mandrino in caso di arresto del nastro,per evitare che le frese diamantate incidano irrimediabilmenteil materiale a causa del rilassamento del nastro stesso,per poi assicurare il ripristino automatico della quota di lavoro.La quota di lavoro di ogni mandrino è visualizzata su display digitale, con precisione centesimale garantita dagli encoders che rilevano direttamente la posizione del mandrino anziché quella della vite.Il sollevamento del mandrino mediante vite a ricircolo di sfere garantisce inoltre movimenti rapidi, precisi e senza usure al contrario delle usuali viti trapezie che quindi non permettono di comandare l’alzo e l’abbasso del mandrino in caso d’emergenza ma solo il suo posizionamento verticale.Le frese destinate alla diamantatura, di grande massa e diametro, dinamicamente equilibrate, unitamente alla elevata potenza dei motori, assicurano elevate asportazioni di materiale ed alte velocità di produzione.Le frese diamantate sono realizzate con una corona esterna smontabile per la rapida applicazione dei segmenti diamantati.

High-performing honing-polishing backing platesEach honing-polishing spindle is fitted with a special Breton new design abrasive holding plate. The pneumatic operating pressure can be adjusted utilising the two pistons provided which also raise the head in the event there is no workpiece.These special abrasive holding plates have a 500 mm diameter, mount 8 abrasives and are fitted with an exclusive multi-directional shock absorbing system.The entire assembly ensures perfect elasticity and a constant and optimal operating pressure resulting in a workpiece with a perfect and uniform polished finish right up to the edges, all with a minimal consumption of abrasive material.

Piatti leviganti-lucidanti specialiad alto rendimentoOgni mandrino levigante-lucidante è dotato dello speciale piatto portabrasivi Breton di nuovo progetto, con pressione di lavoro pneumatica regolabile, tramite due pistoni che provvedono anche al sollevamento della testa in caso di assenza del materiale.Questi speciali piatti portabrasivi hanno un diametro di 500 mm, montano ben 8 abrasivi, e sono dotati di un esclusivo sistema di ammortizzatore multidirezionale.Il tutto assicura la giusta elasticità e un’omogenea ed ottimale pressione di lavoro, per una lucidatura perfetta ed uniforme fino ai bordi del materiale, ed un minor consumo di abrasivi.

Gruppi calibratori fissie gruppi leviganti-lucidanti su ponte mobile per la lucidatura perfetta di ogni formatoIn tutte le versioni di macchina i mandrini calibratori sono montati su una robusta struttura monolitica in ghisa a sua volta solidale ad una rigida trave di supporto fissa, il tutto per praticamente annullare le vibrazioni in lavoro anche di gravosa asportazione. L’esperienza sviluppata da Breton insegna che per assicurare una buona qualità di lucidatura su tutti i formati, è indispensabile che i mandrini leviganti-lucidanti siano mobili e non fissi. Ecco perché in tutte le versioni di macchina i gruppi leviganti-lucidanti sono fissati su una trave mobile, strutturata secondo uno speciale disegno a profilo rettangolare chiuso, per conferire elevati momenti d’inerzia ed ottima rigidità torsionale e flessionale. ***La trave poggia su due spalle scorrevoli lungo ponti in fusione di ghisa, nei quali sono alloggiate le piste di scorrimento temprate e rettificate con pattini a rulli di grosso diametro in bagno d’olio.Lo spostamento alternativo della trave è realizzato a mezzo di un albero di trasmissione alle cui estremità sono fissati i pignoni che ingranano nelle rispettive cremagliere. L’albero è azionato da un potente motoriduttore fissato sulla mezzeria, comandato da un variatore di frequenza.

Fixed calibrating unitsand honing-polishing units mounted on mobile bridgefor a perfect polished finishof any size workpieceIn all the various models of this machine the calibrating spindles are mounted to a robust cast iron monolithic structure integral to a fixed rigid bearing beam. This entire structure practically eliminates vibrations generated when operating even during intensive work cycles.The experience developed by Breton teaches us to be able guarantee a quality polished finish for any size workpiece, it is indispensable that the honing-polishing spindles are mobile and not fixed. This is why the honing-polishing units on all the models of this machine are mounted to a mobile bearing beam, designed with a special closed rectangular profile, which generates elevated moments of inertia and optimal bending and torsional rigidity. ***The beam rests on two vertical structures that travel on amply dimensioned rectified and tempered roller sliding blocks enclosed in a oil bath, along cast iron bridges which house the ground and tempered travel ways.The reciprocating movement of the beam is powered by a transmission shaft connected at each end to a rack and pinion assembly. The shaft in turn is driven by a powerful motor reducer unit mounted on the centreline and commanded by a frequency variator.

La regolazionedella larghezza di lavoroLe robuste guide laterali di acciaio di contenimento del materiale da lucidare sono regolabili in larghezza a mezzo di due volantini ad azionamento manuale posizionati alle due estremità della macchina, in posizione comoda per l’operatore. La larghezza di lavoro è direttamente impostabile da tastiera sul pannello comandi generale.

Adjusting working widthThe robust side guides which contain the workpiece to polish can be adjusted in width utilising the two manual handwheels one mounted at each end of the machine in an easily accessible position for the operator. The working width is then set utilising the keypad on the operator’s control panel.

Levibreton KFMLe protezioniLe Levibreton KFM sono dotate di pannelli frontali di protezione antinfortunistica, fonoassorbenti scorrevoli lateralmente, realizzati con una struttura sandwich in ABS e poliuretano, robustissima ed inattaccabile da acqua e residui di lavorazione. Protezioni paraspruzzi in gomma sono installate sulla trave davanti ai piatti a “livello” del materiale da lucidare.

Safety protectionsThe Levibreton KFM machines are fitted with front sliding soundproofed safety panels of robust construction with an ABS and polyurethane sandwich structure, and are resistant to water and waste generated during machine operation. Protective rubber spray guards are fitted to the beam facing the abrasive backing plates “in line” with the workpiece to polish.

Levibreton KFMComandi e displaySopra le protezioni frontali scorrevoli, in posizione comoda per l’operatore e protetti dall’umidità, sono posizionati in corrispondenza di ogni gruppo levigante-lucidante i manometri analogici con regolatore della pressione di lavoro, ed il selettore di ciclo del mandrino.Frontalmente su ogni gruppo calibratore sono posizionati i display digitali centesimali di quota e i selettori per il posizionamento verticale dei mandrini.Su una spalla della macchina è posizionato il pannello comandi generale con display.

Controls and displayAnalogical manometers with operating pressure regulators and the spindle cycle selector switches are positioned in correspondence to each honing-polishing unit above the front sliding protections, protected from humidity, and easily accessible to the operator.Displays with a precision to hundredths and selector switches for vertical positioning of the spindles are mounted to the front of each calibrating group.An operator’s control panel with display is mounted to one of machine side panels.
