a lifetime's coloring book (1954-2014)
DESCRIPTION
The following documentation has been composed from a (high-quality) 100-page photo-book of my paintings between 1981 and 2014. This extract however uses reduced quality for acceptable web-performance.The paintings' creation phases probably have been synchronized with the study of androgynous symbolism, which is documented in The Hermetic Codex and its additional follow-up versions such as The Hermetic Codex II...I noticed I mostly liked a few paintings of my favorite artists such as Picasso, Gauguin, Münch, Bosch, Vermeer, Renoir, van Gogh, Monet, and Colan, which had been copied to intensify my concentration. There is no better way to learn observing paintings as by copying the masterpieces. The androgynous paintings have been copied several times to optimize the graphical representations of platonic ideas. Most of the inspiration for androgynous portraits have been given by Colan and Picasso. The last chapter has been devoted to the colors black and white. Illustrative may also be the painter's apron, which in containing all of the rainbow's color specter may be transformed to an abstract high quality painting. It's the modern stochastic form of artwork, which contrasts to the symbolism of red, blue and purple (“paers” in Brabantian, as a Dutch dialect). Therefore I consider the purple color “pærs” as a medieval sinful pairing symbol. A 60Y-Lifetime's Coloring Book
(1954-2014)jwr47
The following documentation has been composed from a (high-quality) 100-page photo-book of my paintings between 1981 and 2014. This extract however uses reduced quality for acceptable web-performance.
The paintings' creation phases probably have been synchronized with the study of androgynous symbolism, which is documented in The Hermetic Codex and its additional follow-up versions such as The Hermetic Codex II...
I noticed I mostly liked a few paintings of my favorite artists such as Picasso, Gauguin, Münch, Bosch, Vermeer, Renoir, van Gogh, Monet, and Colan, which had been copied to intensify my concentration. There is no better way to learn observing paintings as by copying the masterpieces.
The androgynous paintings have been copied several times to optimize the graphical representations of platonic ideas. Most of the inspiration for androgynous portraits have been given by Colan and Picasso.
1954: Red = Male, Blue = Female, Purple (“pærs”) = pair's sinful pairing 1
At elementary school in Eindhoven in 1954 a Catholic teacher ordered the children to draw male persons (Jesus, Adam & God) in red colors and female persons (Eve and the virgin Mary) in blue. After the Fall of Man the couple had to be drawn in purple, the color which in Dutch is named “paars”. This concept may have impressed me although it didn't really bother me up till the time I started oil-paintings...

1981 Sketching
The next phase next phase seemed to be concentrated on
sketches, which usually had been based on technology
such as “Ephesis 2000” although one of the first androgynous
designs has been created as a copy from Jaime Colan's sketch
which seems to be similar to a web-publication2.
And also some experimental color sketches exist as a sort of
brainstorming phase occurred...

2013-2014 Black Cats and White Mice
One of the last chapter has been devoted to the colors black and white. The diary characterizes the diary of a 60 years long quest, which seems to end up in an orgy of black and white...
2014 Genesis Starting as the Vowel Word AEIOU
The painting symbolizes a synthesis between the world's creation as a design of a letter Jot, a set AEIOU of vowels, an alphabet and a written script.
Especially the old German Kurrent script reveals a set of handwriting letters, which may have grown from multiple and variable extending one letter (Jot). The basic principle probably may have been derived from Hebrew scripture and the designers of the old German Kurrent script must have been scholars in ancient literature and writing3.
