Programs offered through the Division of Adult and Community Education :
Advance at CollegeThis program offers ambitious high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to study at thecollege level, motivating them to pursue a degree and easing the transition from high schoolto college.
The English as a Second Language InstituteThe Institute offers adult nonnative English speakers the opportunity to improve theirEnglish listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through this program offered at all fourcampuses and convenient community centers.
Gateway to CollegeDropping out of high school doesn’t have to mean a dead end. Philadelphia youth ages16–20 who are currently out of school can now earn their high school diploma and collegecredit simultaneously, putting them on the path to success.
GED Preparation ClassesAdults who wish to earn their GED can attend classes that help them prepare for the test bybuilding reading, writing and math skills.
KEYSThe Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) program puts recipients of TemporaryAssistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Food Stamps on the path to success througheducation, career counseling and the development of skills necessary for selfsufficiency.
Lifelong Learning Workshops and ProgramsCommunity College of Philadelphia's Lifelong Learning workshops include a wide arrayprograms designed to help broaden your experience and finetune your skills, such ascooking, dancing, yoga, horticulture, photography and more. TRIO Upward BoundDesigned for students from low income households who will be the first in their family toattend college, this program provides academic instruction, counseling, enrichmentexperiences and more meant to help prepare students for a successful college career.

S.O.W.N. provides women over 60 with a
supportive environment so they can cope
