¡A los hermanos de la Iglesia en Abu

Dabi! Con alegría y amor fraterno os

saludo en nombre de los sacerdotes y de

todos los fieles de la Parroquia Beata María

de Jesús, en Guadalajara. Llena nuestro

corazón de gozo el compartir con vosotros,

además de nuestras viviendas, comidas y

costumbres, la misma fe en Jesús y en su

Iglesia, que lleva la salvación a todos, de

cualquier raza, cultura o nación.

Somos por igual hijos de Dios en su

Hijo y, por ello, hermanos en la gran familia

de la Iglesia católica. Y como dice el salmo

133, en su primer versículo, vez qué dulzura, qué delicia, convivir los hermanos unidos. Es

una delicia dulce convivir como hermanos -

que es lo que estamos haciendo estos días-

jóvenes tan diferentes y, a la vez, tan

parecidos; personas que, siendo de una

cultura distinta, coinciden en su amor grande

al Papa Benedicto XVI, porque aman

grandemente a Cristo, a su Madre y a su

Iglesia. ¡Qué dulzura convivir los hermanos unidos!

Os deseo una feliz estancia entre

nosotros y que la Jornada Mundial de la

Juventud en Madrid, junto al Vicario de

Cristo, os confirme en la fe que habéis

recibido y que, cuando volváis felizmente –

cosa que os deseamos todos- a Abu Dabi,

deis un testimonio valiente de Cristo

resucitado, único Salvador del mundo.

Dhabi!,

In the name of the priests and

parishioners of Parish Beata María de Jesús,

welcome to Guadalajara. We are so happy to

share with you our houses, food and culture

as well as the faith in Jesus and the Church

that brings salvation to everybody, no

matter the race, culture or nation.

We all are God’s children and

therefore, brothers in the family of Catholic

Church. As it is said in Psalm 133: Look, how sweet and lovely, brothers living together! It

is lovely to live together like brothers as we

are doing these days. We are so different

and at the same time so similar, because we

have different cultures but we all love the

Pope Benedict XVI. We all love Christ, His

Mother and His Church. How sweet and lovely, brothers living together!

I hope you will be happy to be with

us. Thanks to the World Youth Day, I hope

you will be strengthened in the faith you

received from your parents. When you go

back home, you have to be brave and tell

everybody that Jesus is the only Saviour of

the world.

Con María, pilar de nuestra fe:

Este día es el día dedicado a María, Jesús nos deja a María como

compañera y pilar de nuestra fe en los momentos adversos y de dificultad. Aquí en

España tenemos como patrona a la Virgen del Pilar. Cuenta la leyenda que en un

momento de dificultad el apóstol Santiago se encuentra con ella y le dice: ¡No te

rindas! ¡No te rindas! La fe de este pueblo será tan estable como lo es este pilar.

This day is the day dedicated to Maria. Jesus leaves us Maria as company

and base of our faith in the adverse and difficult moments. Here in Spain we have

la Virgen del Pilar as patron saint. The legend says that in a moment of trouble,

apostle Jacob meets her and she tells him: do not give up! Do not give up! The faith

of this people will be as strong as this column.

Testigos para el mundo de la firmeza de nuestra Fe.

ORACIÓN DE LA MAÑANA

Este día gira en torno a la firmeza de nuestra Fe. Muchos hombres a lo largo de

la historia han sido testigos de cómo la confianza en Dios les ha sostenido y ha dado

sentido a sus vidas. Hoy nos toca a nosotros tomar el relevo y ser expresión en medio de

nuestro mundo de que merece la pena creer en Jesús.

La comunidad de Colosas estaba amenazada por la influencia de ciertas tendencias culturales de la época, que apartaban a los fieles del Evangelio. Nuestro contexto cultural, queridos jóvenes, tiene numerosas analogías con el de los colosenses de entonces. En efecto, hay una fuerte corriente de pensamiento laicista que quiere apartar a Dios de la vida de las personas y la sociedad, planteando e intentando crear un "paraíso" sin Él. Pero la experiencia enseña que el mundo sin Dios se convierte en un "infierno", donde prevalece el egoísmo, las divisiones en las familias, el odio entre las personas y los pueblos, la falta de amor, alegría y esperanza.

Colosssaes's community was threatened by the influence of certain cultural trends

that were turning the faithful away from the Gospel. Our own cultural context, dear young people, is not unlike that of the ancient Colossians. Indeed, there is a strong current of secularist thought that aims to make God marginal in the lives of people and society by proposing and attempting to create a “paradise” without him. Yet experience tells us that a world without God becomes a “hell”: filled with selfishness, broken families, hats red between individuals and nations, and a greatlack of love, joy and hope.

celebrando juntos esta Eucaristía.

Mundial de la Juventud, hemos venido del Emirato

árabe de Abu Dabi o vivimos en la ciudad de

Guadalajara. Varios centenares de miles de

jóvenes del mundo entero, como los de Abu Dabi,

y otros muchos miles de jóvenes españoles van a

convivir con el Papa Benedicto XVI y, después de

ser confirmados en la fe por el Vicario de Cristo,

volverán a sus países, o se quedarán en España,

dispuestos a ser testigos vivos de Cristo

resucitado. Como estos hermanos de Abu Dabi, se

encuentran en nuestra diócesis, estos días, en

torno a 2000 jóvenes extranjeros para compartir

con nosotros fe, amistad, cultura, costumbres, amor a Cristo, amor a la Iglesia

y amor al Papa. Sed, pues, bienvenidos a esta Eucaristía, amigos y hermanos de

Abu Dabi. Sed bien venidos también, amigos y hermanos de nuestra querida

parroquia. Participemos todos en esta Eucaristía dominical con el mayor

recogimiento interior.

INTRODUCTION Congregated for God's love, we are, close to the altar, a group of Christ

followers, coming from different nations and cultures, but with the same faith

in the head and in the heart: We are God´s children who on the occasion of the

Youth World Day 2011 have come from the

Arabic Emirate of Abu Dhabi or we live in the

city of Guadalajara. Several hundreds of

thousands of young coming from the entire

world, as these of Abu Dhabi that they

accompany us and other many thousands of

Spanish young people, are going to live with the

Pope Benedict XVI, and, after been confirmed in

the faith by the Christ's Vicar, they will return

to their countries, or they will remain in Spain,

ready to be alive witnesses of revived Christ. As

these brothers from Abu Dhabi, there are about

2000 foreign young people in our diocese these

days,to share faith, friendship, culture, customs,

love to Christ, love to the Church and love to the Pope. Welcome to this

Eucharist, friends and brothers of Abu Dhabi. Welcome, friends and brothers

of our dear parish. Let's take part in this Sunday Eucharist with the greatest

concentration.

MONICIÓN A LAS LECTURAS

Ha llegado la Liturgia de la Palabra, en la que

vamos a escuchar que la salvación operada por Cristo es

de carácter universal. No vino Jesús a salvar sólo a un

grupo determinado, el pueblo de Israel. El Mesías era un

salvador universal. Las tres lecturas de hoy y el salmo

expresan esa universalidad de la salvación que el Hijo de

Dios vino a traernos. Escuchemos con atención a Dios que

Liturgy of the Word INTRODUCTION TO THE READINGS

There has come the Liturgy of the Word, in

which we are going to listen that the salvation

produced by Christ is of universal character. Jesus

did not come to save only to a certain group, the

people of Israel. The Messiah was a universal

savior, The three readings of today and the psalm,

they express this universality of the salvation that

the Son of God came to bring to us. With attention

Es una gran alegría para los feligreses de

esta parroquia estar reunidos en este momento con

vosotros, católicos de Abu Dabi, celebrando la

misma fe y la misma eucaristía…

Es a Jesús a quien buscáis cuando soñáis la

felicidad; es Él quien os espera cuando no os

satisface nada de lo que encontráis; es Él la belleza

que tanto os atrae…; es Jesús el que suscita en

vosotros el deseo de hacer de vuestra vida algo grande…

Dentro de unos pocos días, vais a estar con el Vicario de Cristo: que

vuestro espíritu vibre de emoción; que recéis mucho por él; que le cantéis con

abundancia de guitarras; que el baile, el salto o la danza estén a flor de vuestra

piel y de vuestro corazón. Pero, ante todo, queridos jóvenes, que le escuchéis

con muchísima atención; que intentéis asimilar lo que el Papa os diga; que os

We are very happy to have you here at our parish, Beata María de Jesus in

Guadalajara, where we are near the altar, celebrating the same faith and the Holy

Eucharist.The universality of the Church founded by Jesus is real in this moment in

which people from and Abu Dhabi and Spain meet to celebrate this Holy Mass.

Now, we remember the words that Pope John

Paul II said to the young people in the Youth World

Day 2000 in Rome: “It is Jesus the one you are looking for when you are looking for happiness; it is Jesus who is waiting for you when you are not satisfied by anything; It is Jesus the beauty that attracts you so much; It is Jesus the one who asks you to do something extraordinary with your life, the will to follow the

ideal, the rejection to be trapped in the mediocrity. Jesus wants you to be brave and change society every day, little by little, at school, at university, at work, among your friends and family”.

The wise and good Pope Benedict XVI is a wonderful present from God. In

a few days you will be with him, with God´s messenger. I´m sure you will feel a

great happiness when you meet him, you will pray, sing and you will have a wonderful

time, but never forget that the most important aims of your trip are to listen to

the Pope with great attention, to meet God´s grace in the Sacrament of

Reconciliation and to have the Eucharist as the centre of the World Youth Day.

Agradecimiento de las familias y de la parroquia

Las familias de la Parroquia Beata Mª de Jesús de Guadalajara

(España), que hemos tenido la gran suerte de acogeros en estos días

precedentes a la Jornada Mundial de la

Juventud Madrid-2011, os damos las gracias

por vuestra estancia entre nosotros. Os las

damos también en nombre de toda la parroquia.

Nos habéis enseñado muchísimo; nos habéis

hecho palpar que Dios está en todas partes y

en todo ser humano sin distinción de raza,

sexo, edad, ni lengua, Quizás esto último –lo de

la lengua diferente- nos imponía un poco. No

sabíamos cómo podríamos entablar una comunicación entre nosotros, pero la fe

y el amor fraterno nos ha hecho superar todo obstáculo. Como ocurrió con los

discípulos, cuando recibieron al Espíritu Santo, nos hemos hecho entender

entre todos, aun con diferentes lenguas. s de conoceros, ya os queríamos y

rezábamos por vosotros. Desde ahora lo haremos con mayor motivo, pues os

conocemos. Estamos seguros de que en vuestra comunidad cristiana, que al

parecer tiene unos 100. 000 feligreses de más de 100 nacionalidades, rezaréis

también por nosotros, para que el Mensaje de Benedicto XVI en la Jornada

Mundial de la Juventud en Madrid lo vivamos en nuestras familias y lo sepamos

comunicar a aquellos cristianos de nuestra parroquia que están más alejados.

Desde hace meses, hemos estado preparando esta acogida que os

hemos prestado. Lo hemos hecho con una gran ilusión y con no poco esfuerzo.

Dada, sin embargo, la limitación humana, es seguro que habrá habido

deficiencias y fallos puntuales. Lo sentimos y os pedimos disculpas las familias y

la parroquia.

Que Dios os bendiga y que aprovechéis los días que os quedan en la JMJ

Madrid 2011, que son los más importantes; que hagáis vida el mensaje que el

Papa Benedicto XVI viene a darnos a todos; y que tengáis un feliz regreso a

vuestro país. Sabed que aquí en Guadalajara, en la parroquia Beata María de

Jesús, tendréis siempre UNA FAMILIA VIVA y que estaréis del todo en

nuestros corazones y en nuestras oraciones.

Thanksgiving from host families and Parish

In the name of the families of Parish Beata Mª de Jesús in

Guadalajara (Spain), thanks for living with us these days. Thanks in the

name of the Parish. We have learnt a lot of

you; you helped us to realize that God is

everywhere and in everybody, no matter

race, sex, culture or language. Maybe, the

different language worried us a little bit.

We didn´t know how to start a conversation

with you, but faith and love have eliminated

obstacles. As it happened to the apostles

when they received the Holy Spirit, we have understood each other,

even in different languages. Before meeting you, we already loved you

and prayed for you. From today, we will pray much more because we

already know you all. We are sure that in your Christian communities,

with about 100,000 Christians of different nationalities, you will pray

for us as well, so we can live the message of the Pope in our families

and communicate it to other Christians in our Parish that don´t follow

Christ.

We have prepared this meeting for months. We made the

preparations with great happiness and effort. For sure we have

committed mistakes. We are so sorry, families and parish beg for

pardon.

God bless you. Enjoy the days you are spending in Madrid, those

are the most important days, make real the message of Pope Benedict

XVI, we hope you have a happy return to your country. You will always

have a LIVING FAMILY in Beata María de Jesús in Guadalajara and

you will be in our hearts and prayers.
