Monitoring Advisory ServicesDue to time and staff constraints, banking institutions often do not have the

means to pay close attention to the restructured account. The CDR Cell,

although monitors the account periodically, the support from lenders is

minimal. Even MC meetings are irregularly conducted resulting in dilution of

control over stock/receivable statements, balance sheets, CMA data, stock

audit report etc. Other associate problems arise at borrowers' end, where they

do not comply with the auditors' requests, follow the TRA mechanism, etc. All

lenders; negotiated one-time settlements,

corporate debt restructuring (CDR), working capital

restructuring; done business valuations; and

facilitated numerous amalgamations and mergers.

Backed by his long stints with business houses

such as Birla's and Modi Corporation, Mahendar

now specializes in wrapping-up big-ticket deals for

large and medium size corporates.

A Chartered Accountant by training and a seasoned

professional with over 15 years of expertise in

nance and accounting, Vandana is based out of

Mumbai. She manages the overall supervision,

operations and business development functions for

Varrenyam in Mumbai. A hands-on manager with

strong business networking skills, she has worked

with a clutch of global conglomerates, such as GE,

Philips and WNS Global, holding key positions in

Finance, Accounting and Audit.

Vandana has extensive experience working with

global clientele on a variety of projects. Combining

her professional expertise with a well-established

personal reputation, she has been instrumental in

placing Varrenyam in an advantageous position in a

highly competitive market of nancial consulting in

India.

As head of the Human Resources, Infrastructure

and Administration divisions, Nita has anchored

numerous initiatives to bring global benchmarked

Human Resources practices to Varrenyam. Nita's

focus has been on aligning the key Human

Resources function with the organization's strategic

business goals.

A Chartered Accountant with a diploma in

international trade laws and over 27 years in

practice, he is an alumnus of SRCC and commands

deep knowledge in project nance, corporate loan,

and working capital nance from nationalised and

private banks. In his 27 years of experience in this

industry, he has developed excellent personal

contacts with top honchos in central and state

nancial institutions, banks and nancial consulting

rms in India.

A senior Chartered Accountant and fellow member

of the institute since 1974, he is adept at handling

new projects, new companies, public issues, and

project nancing and top management issues. With

many years of experience at Escorts and Jay Kay

Group, he has specialist knowledge in engineering,

textiles, sugar, Indian made foreign liquor, beer,

cosmetics, food & avour, railway wagons &

coaches, foundry, rolling mill, real estate and

magnetic media industries.

A M.COMM, CAIIB and a seasoned banker with 40

years of experience, particularly in corporate credit,

he has worked almost for almost a decade in CDR

Cell (Ever since its inception) and is well-versed with

the policy, procedure, approvals and monitoring of

CDR cases.

In his earlier stints, he has worked as top executive

in public sector banks and handled CDR accounts

in the ticket size of Rs20 crore and Rs20000 crore.

His core expertise lies in seeking approvals in

difcult cases / NPAs and rehabilitation /

restructuring of sick units / NPA, and putting in

place a robust monitoring mechanism.
