When you are in the process of planning a new home or renovating your bathroom, you may wonder about the meaning of such catchy terms like “Wellbeing” and “Wellness” that appear frequently nowadays in newspapers and magazines. Perhaps you have stayed at a wellness resort on your last vacation or a hotel with a wellness room. What exactly do these words mean?

There could be many answers to that question, but for us at Pharo there is a simple explanation. We define “Wellness” or “Wellbeing” as the act of doing something good for yourself. And when it comes to a place as sacred as your own bathroom, Pharo understands how to do just that. It’s the place to take a break and spend some time to clear your mind, give yourself a few moments to rest. It is the place for your body to get the time it needs – “bodytime”.

In this issue of “bodytime” we explore several reasons behind the choice of preferring a shower over a bath or vice versa. We also list the wide range of products which Pharo has to offer to experience “bodytime”, a state that is more mental than physical. Explore the many possibilities of feeling good with a whirl- or steambath or a fully drenching shower.

No other element is as common on this planet, yet as precious as water. Life itself depends on it. Human evolution especially, progressed through the availability of water and the means to bring it closer to where it was needed. Water was vital for survival and as a means for transport and communication.

As the ancient Greeks already knew, water can do more than just wash your body clean. Water can be combined with heat, air, light, aroma and sound, and so be transformed into a source of energy. 1 Poolmaster Remote Control Pharo whirlpools can be controlled via the optional Poolmaster remote control. It contains preprogrammed whirl settings and will accept individu-ally programmed settings. If dropped in the bath, this completely waterproof unit will float like a boat.

The unique shape of the Pharo Series 700 tubs and whirlpools allow you to immerse your entire body in warm water. The jet’s massage effects reach all the way to the neck even on tall persons. On average a Series 700 model is up to 40% deeper than a conventional whirlpool, yet is compact enough to fit in most standard bathroom situations.

The ergonomic shape is designed to let the body relax and be most receptive to the massaging effects of hydro and air jets. Raised legs are in a perfect position to release strain on the circulatory system. Moulded armrests make comfort complete. The well in the floor enables easy climbing in and out.

3 Air system The air system creates an expanse of caressing bubbles which help to transfer the warmth of the water to the body.

Pharo whirlpools of the Series 300 and 700 offer a variety of features and options. Various shapes and sizes have been created to fit in virtually any bathroom situation. The powerful hydro and air jets are controlled via the rim-mounted PoolControl which can be turned to face in the desired direction. Optional handles assist with exiting the tub while the warmth of the optional halogen light creates a special atmosphere when whirling at night.

5 Planning The cabin can be integrated into every bathroom situation by skilfully dividing off a corner, e.g. using dry construction systems. No valuable wall space will be lost, as the outside walls remain free for example for a toilet and a washstand. The diagonal lines give the bathroom an interesting shape and the application of colours or tiles on the outer walls support a homogenous and generous appeal.

Because of their installation, steam showers of the 500 series cannot be spotted at a glance – but one look through the glass door will entice you to take a steam shower. Each model offers similar equipment, regardless of cabin size: a thermostat, a height-adjustable hand shower, as well as six body showers and a Raindance downpour shower will treat you to a great feeling massage. The ergonomic seats promise relaxation and gentle lighting sets the mood.

1 Automatic fragrance system (option) Aromatic essences are infused into the steam at the push of the button. The enriched vapour merges into the cabin and is being absorbed through the nose and through the skin, instantly improving your sense of wellbeing.
