much simpler after a span of 2 years, and seniors guiding hand and good team work has made this learning process a

smooth one. We as a team have experimented, experienced and enjoyed our work. Adieu for now and regards.

received tremendous response from Chennaiites. There was a good exhibition of stalls by women entrepreneurs. They were a visual treat and the shoppers had a real field trip. The events were mindboggling. Cooking lovers vied with each other and did absolute justice to the title “Innovative Saffola Oats cookery contest” and did wonders with oats be it savory or

sweet. Judges, Chef Dhamu and Culinary Queen, Mrs. Mallika Badrinath had a tough time in selecting the winners. It was a piece of cake for the children with the Annapoorna Ashtakam, who recited the Ashtakam with such grace and ease. The children participated in the “On the spot activity games” with so much enthusiasm. The quiz on current affairs was well received by the audience. Cash Gift envelopes competition was another event which provided lot of opportunity for the women to exhibit their creativity. Collage competition and Drawing & Painting competitions were also intriguing and imaginative for the children to stimulate their hidden talents.

The Kuthuvizhakku decoration by our committee

member, Mrs. Calve Sumathi was as usual unusual. It was lit by Mrs. Y. V. Krishna Kumari before

the start of the meeting. Our Chairperson, Mrs. Ranjani Narayanan welcomed the gathering. Our

respected chief guest, Mr. Y. V. Harikrishna Garu of Gopuram Kumkum, felicitated our sabha and

donated Rs. 10000/- to our sabha. Our Secretary, Mrs. Sujatha Ramesh Babu was felicitated and

awarded a citation for her accomplishments by our Mahila Sabha. Our Secretary, Mrs. Sujatha Ramesh

Babu read out the Secretary's report for the year 2010.

Our Treasurer, Mrs. Neeraja Vasanth read out the

projects and scholarships. The scholarships and projects

were handed over to the students by our respected chief guest. The MC for the evening was Mrs.

Vijayanthi Bhashyakarlu who took care of the proceedings very smoothly.

The meeting was followed by the skit, by our committee members,

was a mirror to the everyday life of our

children and how they were falling prey to the ills of modern gadgets. It was short and sweet. At the

end of the skit, Our Advisory Committee member, Smt. Kala Bashyam introduced the artists to the

audience. The highlight of the day was the light music by Junior Superstars, who did

a wonderful job in entertaining the crowd. The sponsors for the Carnival 2011 were

TNAVMS has done it yet again. This year's carnival is also a blast, thanks to the efforts taken by all its committee members and the wonderful

audience. It was a treat for all the five senses.

This year's

Smt.

Ranjani was accompanied by Smt. Shantha Sridhar, Smt.

Shantha Venkatakrishna, Smt. Vaijayanthi, Smt. Sujatha,

Smt. Neeraja, Smt. Padma Preetha and Smt. Sumathi,

went to the home to visit the inmates who really enjoyed

the company of our members. TNAVMS Members sang

English and tamil songs to the joy of the inmates, who

actually ended up dancing to the songs. Later on, nighties

were distributed to ladies & lungies to men and blankets to both men and women. Remote calling bells and diapers were distributed to

the bedridden and biscuits & chocolates were distributed to all the inmates.
