A Message from President Eric Krebs
Summer is here! We have had a very active and exciting year thus far
thanks to all of our member's contributions of time and money. Our
work is not complete. Amidst the vacations and holidays this summer,
we will be moving forward with painting areas of Cherry Street and
Oakland Terrace Elementary Schools for the reading oasis rooms. We
are also forming two new committees to coordinate fundraisers to help
out and work with our service leadership programs, a Mini-Golf
Tournament and a 5K in Lynn Haven. If you are interested in helping
with any of these events, please speak with me.
The Votes are in…… The membership has decided on
those persons who will be
managing the club’s affairs for
the 2017-18 Kiwanis year.
Taking the reins on Oct. 1st are:
Officers:
President -Ron Boyce
Pres Elect -Ed Bell
Vice Pres -Dave Hornkohl
Treasurer -Keith Forehand
Past Pres -Eric Krebs Secretary -to be appointed
Congratulations to all and thank
you for your dedication to serve in
Kiwanis. Now let the planning
begin!
New fun-raisers……the fall will bring some new opportunities to raise more funds to give back
to our community and have some fun. We’ll be back at the Haunted Hayride in October hoping
the zombies will eat plenty of hot dogs. The new plan is to host a Mini Golf (Putt-Putt)
Tournament that will be fun for all ages and then a 5K Run in Lynn Haven for the hearty souls
who run with nobody chasing them. Get involved in the festivities!
