    A Message from the Principal

Like the Green Tree Frog, I grow and change.

Like the Bush Bee, I can work

with others and on my own to be successful.

Like the Eagle, I see what I need to do to achieve my

    goal and take responsibility.

    Like the Crocodile,

    I can overcome

challenges and keep going when things get tough.

    Like the Dolphin, I am

    free to develop my

    own ideas and take risks.

Like the Green Ant, I use what I know

    and what others know

    to build meaning.

    Like the Tata Lizard I

    can become a learning

detective, searching for answers or clues to my

    own or others questions.

  • Holy Week

In the events of the last month or so, we may have missed that we are now moving into Holy Week and

the Easter Season starting this weekend. Bishop Charles Gauci has been sharing a daily reflection and

his one today provides us with some useful thoughts at this sacred time: Lent is an invitation to reach out. We can get caught up in ‘my worries’, ‘my pain’, ‘my anxiety’, my, my, etc. We can get

trapped going around in circles inside our heads. A sure way to feel trapped, depressed and to start playing games in life, in

    relationships.

WE FIND OURSELVES WHEN WE GIVE OURSELVES.

    A. How am I treating myself? Do I acknowledge that I am unconditionally loved and that in the core of my being is a

spark of the divine? Do I allow myself to receive healing and renewal in my life?

    B. How am I treating others? Am I respectful in my thoughts, actions, words, attitude, my secret thoughts, to my wife,

husband, children, parents – to all? Do I keep on making decisions to be respectful? Do I never give up trying to be

    respectful?

    C. How do I relate to God who holds me and the whole universe and all that there is in God’s heart?

    D. How do I relate to life and creation around me; am I open to seeing it all as a miracle?

We do not deny in the imperfections. We accept them, do what we can to continue growing and to continue to LOVE

    Online Learning

This week, our Leader of Teaching and Learning, Nicola Allison, has been working with staff to ensure

we have online learning reading to go for Term 2 if we are directed to do so by the Northern Territory

Government. Next week, we remind parents that it is a week for staff to prepare to go online and that

students are not required at school. School will remain open for the parents who work in essential

services and require our school for the week. If you do intend to come to school, please make sure you

let us know as soon as possible so we can coordinate how we cater for what should be low numbers of

students attending. Some other points to remember:

That we will be offering times this week and next week for parents to come in and be trained on

the online platform. Your children are also encouraged to join you for these meetings

Students will be directed this week by their teachers to bring in their preferred device for online

learning so we can make sure it is able to access the materials

If you are yet to collect student books, please wait for further direction on this. We will keep them

at school for now and allow an opportunity to collect them if this is required

Any student who is unable to get online will be provided with workbooks that have been created by

the Northern Territory Department of Education and issued to all students in every school

    After School Care

After School Care (ASC) will operate for those children who attend school and require care in Week 11.

At this stage, ASC will run as normal in Term 2.

    Vacation Care

A reminder that Vacation Care will run as normal. Please let us know this week if you require this

    service.

Early Learning Centre (Rainbows) also runs as normal next week and beyond. It will only cease when we

are directed to do so by the Northern Territory Government.

    A Message from the Principal...

  • Lunch Orders

Lunch orders WILL NOT be available next week (Week 11) for those who come to school.

    School Buses

School buses will continue to run next week.

    Term 2

At this time, we are still yet to receive any direction on what will happen for Term 2. We will advise you

once we hear more in this space. Typically, this information is shared in the media before we are able to

    advise our families anyway.

    Catholic Care

Please remember at these times that through our school, we all have access to counselling through

Catholic Care. Please view attached document for more information.

We keep you all in our thoughts and prayers are we continue to work our way through what it is to come

over the next weeks and months.

    God Bless

Easter Eggs Raffle Cancelled Due to the risks and concerns around COVID-19,

the Parents and Friends Group will not be

running the Easter Egg Raffle this term.

We appreciate that there are more pressing

worries for families at this time.

Last Homework Centre for the term was on
