What is a LightSaver Linear-Strobe™?

• It is a “Egress Marking Visible Notification Appliance”. Some refer to it as the “EMVNA”.

• When smoke alarms or the emergency notification systems are triggered in a fire, the Linear-Strobe™ quickly provides bright emergency light framing doorways (highlighting the universally recognized shape of the exit door) and nearby floor areas or around windows so that one can clearly see the exit well below the smoke layer during a fire crisis.

Types of the LightSaver Linear-Strobe™

• Single-Station- Battery operated & sound activated by audible smoke detectors or other audible alarms;

And,

• Integrated- Hard-wired into a 24v fire panel (i.e. the NAC) or 12v security system as a fire alarm accessory or security device.

How it’s Used• This new technological advancement in alerting and directing

In addition to lab testing, Linear-Strobes were also tested in live burn-down exercises in CA and TX. In 2010, we participated in the burn down of a structure in northern California with over 80 firefighter participants throughout the day of training.
