Big Sir Frank sez... Gentlemen: what a great turn out there was at our last luncheon in September! We had a total count which included 101 members, and we welcomed two new members, Russ Marinello, and Brian Weller, PLUS seven guests. I thought our guest speaker, Rosanne Foust, President and CEO of SAMCEDA (San Mateo County Economic Development Association) was fantastic bringing her knowledge, conviction, honesty, and starting a lively discussion with our members. Also I want to thank all the members for calling in seven days in advance if missing the meeting. Our monthly unexcused absence is dropping, which will give us a better gauge in ordering our lunches. This is a money saver for our branch. I want to make a prediction that our October speaker, Mr. Don Cecil, a political analyst whom I know, is very excited to speak to our group. I absolutely have no doubt Mr. Cecil will be our best speaker of the year. Don won't have a formal presentation, but he'll make nonpartisan comments, and then engage in dialogue with our membership. I will try and have two microphones: one for our guest speaker and one for the give-and-take discussion with our audience. This is the time to invite a guest/prospective member. Let's fasten our seat belts! This will truly be a luncheon to be remembered. We are Branch # 1, and we all are #1! SPEAKER: DON CECIL, Political AnalystTOPIC: “Nonpartisan” Comments

on the Election

No ifs, ands or buts about our October speaker: hetakes sides.

And he’s good at it.

For a number of years starting in 1994, Mr. Cecilmanaged more than 30 successful campaigns in the BayArea for local and state office. He is proud to havemanaged several campaigns which resulted in LGBTQ,women, African American, Latino and Asian candidatesbeing elected to public office.

Mr. Cecil says, “I take great pride in bringing myexperience and a wide range of relationships to everyproject in order to help my clients navigate complexgovernmental processes, conduct businessdevelopment, engage stakeholders and solve problems. My goal is always to provide my clients with innovativeand strategic thinking and a meticulous attention todetail in order to support their success.”

He plans to make a brief nonpartisan presentation, then ask for audience participation. We’re thinking hewon’t be disappointed.
