A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTORS
Happy 2019 to all our IMPAA families!
Thank you for all of the beautiful holiday cards! We love receiving them
and watching our kids grow up each year :) We appreciate your
donations to MAKE A WISH! Thank you so much! We are continuing to
take donations through January; just stop at the desk and fill out a star!
May this year be filled with love, prosperity, good health and peace to all
of you! As we head into the second half of our season, there are many
exciting things on the horizon! Be sure you know our Inclement Weather
Policy. It can be found in detail on page 2 of this newsletter.
Preparation has begun for the Spring Showcase “Passport to
Europe...Dancing and Singing Overseas.”
All costumes have been ordered, some of which have already come in.
This is such an exciting time for our students! Watch for the Costume Book
which will be out shortly. We will also have it on our website this year!
We hope you enjoy looking through the costume choices. Our teachers
take quite a bit of time picking out costumes that compliment every child
and fit their vision for the performance piece. We ask that our students, as
well as parents, be respectful of our teachers’ costume choices and keep all
costume comments positive. Our goal is to have all students feel confident
and excited as they take the stage showcasing their hard work and
commitment throughout the season. Any concerns regarding your child’s
costume should be addressed to either one of us directly.
Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy viewing the
costume book!
Here’s to a Very Happy & Healthy ’19!
Fondly, Colleen and Rosanne

Infinite Motion Performing Arts Academy
generally closes if area schools are closed due to severe weather, including
anticipated icy road conditions. We err on the side of caution in considering
travel conditions for our students and staff, as the majority of our teachers
travel quite a distance to get here.
Class cancellations due to inclement weather will be posted on our website
and social media and sent as a text through Remind 101 at least 1 hour prior
to class start time. IMPAA does not refund tuition due to inclement weather
or other acts of severe nature that cannot be avoided. Students can make up
the cancelled class in any other class of their choice at the Academy in the
same age/level. If a class/day has to be cancelled more than two times due to
inclement weather, we will offer make-up classes.
SICKNESS: As cold and flu season approaches, let’s all try to stay healthy!
Please be mindful to keep your child home if he/she is not feeling well. All missed
classes can be made up in an age appropriate class at your convenience.

MANDY MOORE
Dancer & Choreographher
Samantha Jo "Mandy" Moore (born March 28, 1976, in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Breckenridge, Colorado) is an American choreographer who is well known for her work on Dancing with the Stars and on So You Think You Can Dance, having appeared on the show every year since the third season. Moore was nominated for Emmy Awards in 2008, 2011, 2013, 2014, and twice in 2017.[1][2] She won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography in 2017 for Dancing with the Stars ("On Top of the World" and "Carol of the Bells" from Season 23). She has also choreographed duet and group numbers for So You Think You Can Dance United Kingdom, Canada, Ukraine, and the Netherlands.
Moore choreographed the 2016 film La La Land.[3] Rehearsals took place at a production office in Atwater Village over the span of three to four months beginning in May 2015. For the film, Moore emphasized emotion rather than technique.[4] The film received widespread acclaim from critics.
Mandy Moore is a four-time Emmy-nominee and world-class Director, Choreographer and Dancer best known for her ground-breaking work on the global television hit So You Think You Can Dance and most recently the smash-hit movie, La La Land.
Mandy also choreographed David O. Russell’s Oscar-nominated film, Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence; commercials for Target and Skechers; Shania Twain’s hit show, You’re Still the One at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas; as well as the world premiere of The Old Globe Theatre’s smash hit, Nobody Loves You.
Mandy's contemporary and jazz choreography has been performed on television, in film and on concert and theater stages around the world. Her long list of credits includes: American Idol; Did You Hear About The Morgans? with Hugh Grant; Dancing With The Stars; So You Think You Can Dance (where she also appears as a Guest Judge); Nickelodeon’s Fresh Beat Band; the L.A. Ballet Company’s innovative New Wave L.A. program; Celine Dion’s sold-out Taking Chances concert tour; Strictly Come Dancing; and Cirque du Soleil’s My Immortal. Mandy both directed and
choreographed a crowd-pleasing stage production of The Wedding Singer, and continues to teach at L.A.’s Edge Performing Arts Center; internationally for the JUMP dance conventions; and in private studio sessions for independent performers.
