By Momina

To understand or not to understand!

• The thing to understand here is that the second a child is born he or she is in a contract with Allah and that is . And is the agreement Allah has made with humans that they will obey him and not obey the devil.

• When Allah command us to do things through the Quran (which is Kalam (speech) Allah), he expects us to obey them.

What is ?

• In arabic oofu has many meanings.

• Fulfillment has many meanings in Arabic.

• It means giving back full, measure and weight.

• To give full reward in this world and give full reward in the hear after.

• And taking away the soul- the root is wafii, which means fulfill.

What is ?

• It means the agreement Allah has made with humans that they will obey him and not obey the devil.

• It includes our responsibilities, our promises, all business contracts

Verse 34

• Come not near to the orphans(someone who has no farther, yateem) property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength, and fulfill (every) engagment, for (every) engagemntwill be inquired into (on the day of Resurrection)

• In this verse Allah(swt) is telling us how to deal with the wealth of an orphan and not to misuse it. It can only be used for the orphan.

• This is Allahs command.

What is a Promise?

• A promise is in Arabic is COMPLETELY different than the word promise in English.

• It has a much more wider meaning.

• In short it is ALL commands of Allah are for the humans.

Keeping a Promise

Advantages Disadvantage

You get blessing from Allah It hurts people mentally or physically

You earn the trust of people You earn the wrath of Allah

You become more Responsible. In islam when you break a promise you must pay Kafarah

Your level of Imaan will grow.

It will be easier for you to keep the duties of a muslim

It is a path that will surely take you to jannah!

All the islamic scholars have stressed on the importance of keeping promises.

The Promises

The First Promise.

• Allah has promised those of you who believe and do right actions that He will make them successors in the land, as He made those before them successors, and will firmly establish for them their religion with which He is pleased and give them, in place of their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. Any who disbelieve after that, such people are deviators. (Surat an-Nur: 55)

The Second Promise

Gardens of Eden that the All-Merciful has promised to His servants in the Unseen. His promise is always kept. (Surah Maryam, 61)

Another Promise

Allah has promised the men and women of the believers Gardens with rivers flowing under them, remaining in them timelessly, forever, and fine dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. And Allah's good pleasure is even greater. That is the great victory. (Suratat-Tawba, 72)

• These are Allah's promises to believers, both for this world and the hereafter. And many verses clarify that His promise is definite and real: "Allah's promise is true" (Surah Fatir, 5; Surah Luqman, 9; Surah Yunus, 55; Surat ar-Rum, 60).

Jazakallah khair for listening.
