A FOCUS ON THE AAA MIDGET BISONS

1. “AAA BISONS” Ice Sessions - 3 per week. 2 Sessions lead by the BISONS Coaches and 1 Session lead by Global Coaches (in collaboration) with the BISONS Coaches.

2. Ath-Leader Program. Develop into a high performance person in an innovative incubator via a state of the art curriculum and leadership piece. - 30 Credits can be achieved.

3. Multi-Sport. Building Athletes first!

4. Academic Ownership. Designated class time to address individual academic needs…

BUILDING THE “BISONS” DNA


AN ADDED BONUS…

Students will receive two levels of Coaching Certification upon

graduation. This certification is completed in Grades 11 & 12 as

part of the CTS Curriculum and is recognized globally.

• Coach 1 - Intro to Coach

• Coach 2 - Coach Level

Many of our coaches are course conductors and have Instructed: Coach 1, Coach 2, Checking Skills, Development 1 & 2, & High Performance 1.

• Our partnerships agreements will provide additional educational opportunities for all players.

• Partners are fully interpreted into the Global curriculum during the school day.

FEAR

• The Sport Academy Training Periods occur within the School Calendar Template for September-June. When the school is closed so is the Academy.

• All sessions occur within the designated periods and students have plenty of time to shower and get to their class where they can snack.

• The Sport Academy Class serves as an “Option/Elective”.


TIMETABLE INTERGRATION


Weekly (Ice, Classroom, Training) @ Ron Ebbeson Arena & Boys and Girls Club

• Students begin each day at Ron Ebbeson Arena /Boys and

Girls Club for the first two periods of the Day (Global

Campus).

• At lunch-time the Airdrie Transportation System takes

them back to their school of choice for their two

afternoon core subjects: George Mcdougall,Croxford,Bert Church.

• It is highly recommended that the AAA Players attend

George Mcdougall due to the program design and

academic integration piece.

Ice Times Period 1: 9:00-10:00am

Ice Times Period 2: 10:45-11:45am

Multi-Sport Period 1: 9:00-10:00am

Multi-Sport Period 2: 10:45-11:45am

CTS Period 1: 9:00-10:15am

CST Period 2: 10:30-11:45am

Core Classes Period 1: 9:00-10:15am

Core Classes Period 2: 10:30-11:45am

****Change & Shower Time Post Session: 30 Minutes

****We will be using: Ron Ebbeson, Genesis Training Facilities, Boys & Girls Club,“ Airdrie

Global Campus”.


COMMUNICATION

• Global Sport Academy Group has its own mobile offices and meeting space in the schools. For inquiries about the program please contact us @ www.globalsportacademygroup.com

• During the year athletes and their families can contact us directly as it pertains to athletic program. Academic inquiries and information are handled by the schools…

• All students are required to have laptops and mobile devices.

TRANSPORTATION

• Drop off each morning is either at the Global Campus (Ron Ebbeson Arena). At lunch time each day the Airdrie Transportation System will take players back to: George Mcdougall High School or students can drive.


SAFETY AND LIABILITY

• All athletes are insured by Global Sport Academy Group & the School.

• All coaches and instructors are certified by National Governing Bodies.

• All coaches have the necessary medical emergency training.

• All coaches complete the required police checks and standard school policy requirements.

• All athletes receive a G23 Medical Card which provides them access to top medical professionals and specialists.
