ExampleExample
Every day, millions of teenagers spend between six and eight hours in America’s high schools. They sit at their desks, listen to their teachers, and do their school work. In some of these schools, however, they are also forced to dress in school uniforms. This restriction is really too much. Rowland High School students should not be required to wear uniforms because they cause more harm than gain benefits.

ExampleExample
In conclusion, in our district, students should not be forced to wear uniforms. This is because they take away a student’s sense of individuality, they do not allow for self-expression, and they do not save families any money. There are already plenty of restrictions upon high school students, and these rules and regulations are acceptable because they help maintain order on a daily basis. However, mandating school uniforms would not be a helpful regulation. Uniforms may seem like a good idea at first, but in the end they would do more harm than good.

Have you ever been to a party or public function
where you felt out of place because of what you were
wearing? Maybe you did not have the latest fashion
because your budget would not allow you to spend
much on clothes. Everyday, many students feel self-
conscious of their clothes, and this can be solved if
students at RHS wore uniforms. Please consider the
following before making your final decision.

Put an * on the paragraph

counterargument
There is no doubt that requiring uniforms can solve many problems for both students, parents, and even the school. It gives families more time to spend with one another, parents won’t feel financially burdened, and students will feel more comfortable at school. While teenagers must express themselves, they should also focus on their academics. This is why I would urge you to consider my position on uniforms.
