Crane Load Instrumentation

E-Log is a reliable and precise instrument, offering unsurpassed performance in cellular remote control and real-time data logging.

Remote communication via GSM, GPRS, NextG or satellite cellular networks ensure that whether monitoring fleet or individual activity the E-Log provides accurate customised data to optimise productivity. Developed with a focus on flexibility, the system is easily adapted to a wide range of industries and applications. All data can be viewed via the web based software and is presented as easy to read 3D rendered graphs, chronological reports and GPS interactive mapping.

Automated monitoring is a modern solution to assist in maximising productivity and profitability, both key components to a successful business in today’s market. Data from the E-Log can quickly identify usage levels and highlight problem areas that can result in equipment failure and downtime due to misuse or overload.

The equipment selection page allows the viewing of equipment reports, graphs, service schedules and unit mapping over a variable period of time. All reports can be exported in either pdf. or excel format.

On the right hand side the screen shows a Red/Amber/Green indicator relating to the equipment’s status at the time of update.

Green - Travelling

Amber - Idle

Red – Stopped

Figure 5: An extra feature exclusive to the E-Log is the new ‘callout box’. This feature allows you to view the main heading options (Travel, Engine and Lifts) enabling faster access to more detailed data within these categories.

Figure 6: There are three main features to the unit map:-

• Single location • Dot Plotting • Line Plotting

* all are selectable from the map page

Line Graphs can be used as a quick reference for Travel, Engine and Lift conditions.

Figure 7:Pie Graphs give the operator a clear idea of the amount of time (% over a user variable timeframe) that a machine is working in a particular mode of operation. Whether the graph is displaying utilisation, travel or lift data.

The Pie Graph can be customised to display specific information requirements.

• Start and Finish dates • SWL % plotting • Travel Speeds • Operational Mode i.e. Idle,

Travel or Lift

The Pie Graphs are 2D and 3D.

Figure 8: The Lift graph is showing each topic in different colours to highlight a crane’s geometry at the time of operation. Standard lift data includes:-.

• Load • SWL • SWL% • Boom Angle • Boom Length • Falls • ATB On/Off • Override Key On/Off & many more…

The Equipment list can be endless.

Cranes

Trucks

Cars

Forklifts

Welders

Man Lifts & many more…

Designed by industry people for industry people E-Log web software is both intuitive and user-friendly. E-Log empowers fleet owners to manage their assets with access to real time data 24 hours a day 7 days a week from anywhere in the world.

Figure 1:E-Log Web is the latest generation in innovative technology from Robway. E-Log was first released in 2004 as a dialup access system well suited to small fleet owners. In 2007 Robway designed a web-based solution to address the needs of larger fleet owners.

Figure 2 & 3: The fleet overview option allows the operator to view all active equipment on screen.

This page includes the main topics of importance

• Engine Hrs • Engine Errors • Lift Errors (Crane Only) • ATB On (Crane Only) • Override key On (Crane Only) • Travelling Status- • Equipment Speed

All pages and reports can be programmed to display only the data required by the customer. E-Log is equipped with an on-board GPS module allowing the monitoring of plant equipment movements and locations.

All machinery can be classified with each group represented by a different icon for quick reference. Clicking on an icon will show more detail in a pop up window and allow access to machine specific reporting and graphs.

Figure 4: Clicking on a machine on the equipment list on the right hand side of the mapping screen will prompt navigation to the location of the plant on the map at the time of the most recent update.

Lift Configurations – Provides history of crane configuration and set-up.

ONE Web-site Access – Total fleet data is available via a single web-site, including multiple brands and types of equipment.

Alerts and Summary Reports – Alerts and Reports (daily, weekly, monthly) are automatically provided via email.

Proven – E-Log is proven in crane applications and environment.

Additional Benefits

Equipment Utilisation reports – E-Log utilisation graphing allows fleet management personnel to make informed decisions on resource allocation & productivity.

Service Intervals / Scheduling – Armed with a combination of true engine hours and specific machine activity data, maintenance staff are able to better plan & manage service intervals.

Equipment Tracking (GPS) - The most economical travel routes to & from site can be easily identified allowing time efficient job-scheduling.

Engine Monitoring - Early warning of error or malfunction can minimise expensive repairs & downtime.
