JULY 13 - AUG 4OPENING RECEPTION Friday, July 13 from 7-9 pm

AUG 10 - OCT 6OPENING RECEPTION Friday, Aug 10 from 7-9 pm

SULLIVAN FAMILY GALLERYPAINTINGS OF COMPASSION: ARTISTS IN BLOOM MINISTRY

Artists in Bloom Ministry teaches people the grammar to engage in image making, and become connected with others in a supported community and create art. The objective is to fill a void that  the secular world has created by giving people a new

language, a new means of expression that is purposeful and autobiographical.  The group is comprised of people of all faiths and backgrounds and helps those in

search of meaning discover the spiritual and restorative nature of creating art.

DIANNE BOLDMAN EDUCATION GALLERY:DEREK BRENNAN: INTERWOVEN MEMORIES Artist Derek Brennan celebrates his newfound love of travel with this body of work comprised of encaustic on wood panel pieces.  He asks the question, "How can the imagination alter and distort our memory based on time and emotional experience?"  The aim of the work is not to replicate the scenery entirely, but to dance between the line of representational and abstraction giving each piece a foggy dream-like quality.

SULLIVAN FAMILY GALLERYBRUCE CHECEFSKY: GARDEN SCANS

Photographer Bruce Checefsky seeks refuge in the garden from many irritants, increasing age, expanding development of his

Tremont neighborhood, to our torn country in the throes of political turmoil.  With these images, Checefsky uses a digital photo scanner as his primary camera.  The technique fundamental to this method

of creating images is that of expanding time-scan images that are made on 30 second intervals up to several minutes which

achieves the actual sensation of animation.

DIANNE BOLDMAN EDUCATION GALLERYHARRIET WISE, SUSANNE DOTSON, MARY BURKHARDT: MOTHER, DAUGHTER, FRIENDMother and daughter Harriet Wise and Susanne Dotson, and long time friend Mary Burkhardt explore their happy collaboration as painters with this body of work.  Each artist brings their unique style to this show that is a true celebration of life's work and how love, friendship, and creativity sustain us.
