LYRIC INTERLUDE
Your hair brushes ray eyelids Your breathing is in my ear, I hear your heart beating, feel the course of the blood in your hand. Make tomorrow go away, hold me and come, march the moments past and caress me out of yesterday to take a rolling single step towards touch.
Your head is in my brain I hold it there with desperation and there is another •••and another one with satin others in denim or lying soft in grass or in sheets, by a star, by a stair stained with lost promises, leading up and down and where have I gone? where are you? My leaves are here, my fruit is coming* The earth raises me up for one more, again, one more again. Where am I to find it? The paisley dawn is the end of night, is it also the beginning of day?
A QUESTIONABLE INSIGHT
Huddled against memory I decide to dance and clear the bleeding wrists with an erection.
Mark the moments away as dead, and caress time itself if you will or people flowing by you, only change.
God's love and passion have brought a two-fold gift: We find outselves pregnant and dying of the pox.
The noblest tragedy is still lonely death and the merriest comedy a danse macabre. ******* ******* *******
