Year 2020
Source : Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn BhdNotes : LDP Highway operates on open toll system. Figures were based on toll traffic count and
did not include traffic that uses the highway but bypassing the toll gates.
FAST FACTS:• Traffic volume contracted by more than 80% during
the first MCO lockdown
• Immediate spike on traffic volume during CMCO in May 2020, registered a 252% increase.
• During RMCO in July 2020, traffic volume returned to almost the same level before the pandemic outbreak.
• During the second CMCO implementation in October 2020, traffic volume contracted by 20%, but it was 36% higher compared to 1st CMCO in May 2020.
KEY CONSIDERATIONS:• Generally people are more prepared to embrace the
pandemic outbreak compared to first MCO lockdown.
• Traffic recovery was immediate when MCO was lifted
• Urban traffic contraction was much lesser compared to national highways especially during cross state / district restrictions period, and it should reflect the same on urban non-tolled roads.
• Despite mostly were working from home during MCO & CMCO, generally people were still going out-of-home for various reasons.
