About UsAfter more than twenty years of the experience of

Paint has been a well known protective coatings
manufacture in China. Our professional experience

Osaka Paint has always focused on the research
and breakthrough of protective coatings, and
accumulated the pioneering technology and variety
products. We own two China Invention Patents:“900-
1200°C heat resistant paint”, which broke the barrier
of 650°C heat resistant limitation, and innovated the
pioneering 1200°C heat resistant color paint; “max
300 times of alternating cooling and heating600°C
heat resistant paint” which not just improved the
working life of heat resistant paint, but also provides a
solution to steel factories, the properties of the paint
has surpassed most of the heat and oxide resistant
paint on the market.

Found in 1990s, JiangYin Osaka Paint Co.,Ltd. is located in
Yangtze River Delta. Company is based on all kinds of heavy
duty anti-corrosive paints, striving to develop featured products
and high technology products, such as various machinery
coatings, floor coatings, port coatings and cover a wide range
of applications from oil and gas to power generation and light
industry, more than 400 kinds of products totally.
Our company now has 160 staff members, and more than 35%
of employees have bachelor degree or above. Osaka paints’
products mainly include solvent-free paint, waterborne paint,
fluorocarbon coating, epoxy & polyurethane paint, polysiloxane
coating, acrylic & alkyd paint, highly chlorinated paint, modified
rubber coating, etc., and other special paints: high temperature
resistance paint(1200°C), oxide skin resistance paint used on
hot rolled steel, resistance to 98% concentrated sulfuric acid,
self-cleaning paint, sediment incrustation resistance paint used
in water pipes, oil tank antistatic coating etc.. The products
mainly in industrial anticorrosion and special protection are mostly
targeted at domestic market, and some products were exported
to Southeast Asia and Africa. Main application fields of products

vehicle, plastic and electronic products, constructions and large-
scale projects at home or abroad.

flue gas desulphurization have been served many major power
plants in China, clients include Shandong Zouxian Power Plant,
China Western Power Industrial Company, Yangzhou Second
Power Company, and China Guodian Hengshi Power Plant. In
bridge anticorrosion field, our coatings have protected Chongqing
Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge, Nanjing No.3 Yangtze River
Bridge, China Railway 13th Bureau Ningbo Bridge, Guangzhou

Resistance to 98% concentrated sulfuric acid paint can
withstand in 98% concentrated sulfuric acid or hot concentrated
hydrochloric acid, also fill in a gap in domestic paint industry, and
bring great convenience to lots of customers. National Patent
with independent intellectual property rights of OSAKA PAINT -
“High Temperature Resistance Paint 900-1200°C” have broken
the limited temperature of domestic high temperature paint
- 650°C, created a color paint precedent at 1200°C and been
generally approved in several tests organized by aeronautical and
astronautical research institutes. In addition, High Temperature
Resistance Paint 600°C can withstand thermal cycling test
up to300 times, significantly increase the service life of high
temperature coating, and reached the international advanced
level. Furthermore, our oxide skin resistance paint have rewritten
the history that only abroad paints could be used to avoid oxide
skin in home steel mills. The performances of this product reach
or exceed those abroad similar paints.

This coating system is applicable for seaside and the other serious
corrosive environments, the anticorrosion life could be 15 years,
which saves on the cost of recoating and shut-down maintenance.
Primer: The coating film contains a lot of high-quality zinc, which
has excellent rust resistance and cathodic protection.
Intermediate: The scaly micaceous iron oxide in the film, could
form the scale-like overlapping structures and maze effect, to
protect base materials from corrosive media.
Finish: Aliphatic polyurethane paint has great gloss and color
retention performance, anti chalking, non-yellowing, excellent oil

Construction machineryConstruction machinery includes aerial platform, tower crane, excavator, earth-moving machinery, compactor,

Port MachineryPort machinery usually includes portal crane, bridge crane, loading equipment
and port warehouse. The operation environment of most of the port
machineries in China is “C4 - C5”environment of ISO12944 (coastal corrosion
environment, serious corrosion environment) . For the steel structures in the
splash zone, the applicable coatings should have good water resistance,
strong adhesion, good wetting-redrying and mechanical friction resistance.
Usually the anticorrosion life of port machinery requires over 15 years, because
the cost of downtime to repair is very expensive. Osaka Paint has served
ZMPC, DHI-DCW and other port Machinery companies for many years, and
according to the experience of the actual projects, we could supply the coating

PipelinesPipelines are usually underground, operate in the severe environmental conditions of water and soil (Im3 ISO12944).
Coatings for oil pipelines: In addition to coatings for standard operating conditions, Osaka Paint has developed special products for pipelines operating at high temperatures up to 600°C, steel requiring low application temperature cure and aggressive environments such as sour media, subkha and water reinjection.Gas pipelines: Coatings are designed to not just protect the external surfaces of gas pipelines but also improve internal flow efficiency, and are able to meet various requirements of anticorrosion in different environments. Water pipelines: Coatings are developed to protect the internal and external surfaces of water pipelines for transporting sea water, raw water, sewage and water-based slurries. It’s designed to protect the pipelines underground, avoid the corrosion by moisture and germ in mud. It’s also suitable for protecting the pipelines in sea, and the designed film thickness is 2000um.
Distinguishing features:1. EPSP401 is a solvent free epoxy paint, with no VOC and a great
application ability, the thickness of one time film forming could be 600um.
2. The shrinkage of solvent free paints is extremely low during the curing process, therefore these products have lower internal force, better edge coverage and more resistance to crack.
3. Apart from the great ability of anti corrosion on new steel structure, solvent free paints are also convenient for maintenance, easy to be applied after removing the loose rusts, oxide and grease on steel surface.

comps and thick paste type, suitable as prime or finish, with no VOC and a great application ability, the thickness of one time film forming could be 600um.
2. Protecting the internal surfaces of pipelines from the corrosion, reducing the roughness of the internal surfaces of pipelines to improve internal flow efficiency. It’s compatible with the cathodic protection system of steel structure.

mist or seawater. The surfaces could reach 60°C under direct
sunlight and strong UV rays, meanwhile be blasted by high winds

2. Easy to be applied, could be rolled, brushed and sprayed.

4. Great ability of anticorrosion and conductivity, fast dry, oil
resistance
5. Composite conductive mica powder is used in finish, and
the resistivity of the surface of coatings film is 108-1011Ω. The
antistatic ability lasts long, which keeps the oil safe.
Storage TanksThe internal surface of oil or gas storage tanks often deal with a variety of corrosion mediums, such as crude,
semi-finished oil, refinery oil and solvent; meanwhile the external surfaces face UV rays, industry chemical
surroundings and even marine corrosion.
Dry storage can be a simple shelter or more sophisticated silos of concrete, according to the user situation.
Dry storage is challenged by abrasion and smooth flow. In addition there may be chemical corrosion depending
upon the moisture content of the material being stored.
Oil and gas storage is more often and more sophisticated, especially it’s always in the marine atmospheric and
chemical atmospheric environment. The design of coatings system is various, depending upon storage medium
it might need be anti static or chemical corrosion proof.

Power GenerationUsually power plants are located in serious industrial corrosion and marine corrosion environment (ISO 12944 C5I-M), meanwhile the consumption of conventional hydrocarbon fuels (coal and oil combustion) produces more sulfur and nitrogen oxides, whcih could also corrosive the equipments, therefore power plant requires high quality protective coatings.
In addition, power plant often needs the coating with special requirements, such as: fuel and gas erosion, chemical corrosion, flue gas desulfurization, high temperature corrosion, fuel and chemicals storage and so on.

roller, brush or spray.
4. There are a wide range of colours available, meanwhile applicable
on different substrates, such as metal, PVC,PP and ABS.
Steel StructureThe steel structures of power plant includes the ordinary steel structures, the high temperature equipments
(furnace, turbine) and other steel tanks. Power plant often locates in C5I-M ISO12944 environment.

DesulfurizationAccording to the different corrosive mediums of FGD equipments, Osaka Paint
uses imported raw materials, developed a series of SPE glass flake paints,
which are typically used for the inner surface of FGD equipment. They could
efficiently decrease the emissions of sulphur and nitrogen oxides, extend the
operational life of FGD equipment, hence reduce the possible maintenance
cost and time of FGD system.
Our clients: Beijing Jingneng Thermal Power, Shandong Laicheng Power Plant,
Shandong Feixian Power Plant, Shandong Zhouxian Power Plant, Shanxi
Taiyuan Thermal Power, Lanzhou Xigu Power Plant, Zibo Baiyanghe Power

Above power plants used Osaka Paint’s SPE series anticorrosion glass flake
paints, and their FGD systems are still in good condition after five years in

VesselUnderwater Hull: Soaked in water, around with electrochemical corrosion and

Waterline: the most corrosive part on a vessel, paint must has good abilities of

Long-lasting anti-corrosion, in C5 (ISO12944), its service life is 3~5 years, easy
to be recoated and maintained. The finish has good abilities of color retention,

Offshore InstallationAntifouling: FPSO operate in static conditions,and fouling not only reduces
the lifetime of underwater protective coatings, but also obstructs underwater
inspection and reduces the payload of the floating unit.
Crude oil tanks: Crude oil abstracted from offshore oil fields contains water,
acid and other corrosive chemicals. In addition the oil may be very hot when
pumped into the crude oil tank. The coatings should handle both chemicals
and high temperatures to guarantee continuous production of the FPSO, and
to avoid interruptions caused by coating failures.
Temperature management: The pipes and valves of FPU work at extreme
temperatures, Cold splash will cool steel down to -190ºC, while some pipes

High Temperature Marking PaintIn order to avoid steel mixing incidents,
the surface of continuous castings
and roll steel is often need to be
marked even still hot from oven.
Long-term operating high-temp
furnaces and engines that are under
high temperature also need to apply
high temperature marking paint for
protection. Our newly developed
high temperature marking paint has
excellent heat resistance ( max to
800°C ) and it’s non-burning, non-
smoke. It can be directly sprayed on
continuous casting, roll steel and hot
rolled coil. With its good adhesion, it
can effectively eliminate the possibilities
of steel mixing incident due to the
illegibility marks. Also it features
many good qualities of constructing
convenience, non-toxic, zero organic
solvent, and zero fire hazards.
High temperature jet flow paint (2300°C)Combining the technologies of Organic Silicon coating
and Inorganic high temperature resistance coating,
it cures at room temperature but has extreme high
temperature resistance. The coating film can withstand
50 times of 500ms in the temperature of 1400°C, and
also has zero quality issue in 1270°C environment for 8
hours. (This product has been used by Henan Wuyang
Iron and Steel Company). On May 2008, by using liquid
hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellants, we completed
a 500s performing test of heat and washout resistance,
results show under the high heat of intensively and
continuing hydrogen and oxygen rocket engine flush,
it has good resistance to heat, strong adhesion and an
excellent protection to castiron surfaces.
SG-JD High-Temperature Oxygen-Proof Paint (800~1250°C)This product is used to protect the steel from high
temperature corrosion during heat treatment (e.g.
boiler drum, hot coil, hot rolling,etc.) and reduce oxide
skin. Comparing to others in the same category, the
rate of the resistance to high temperature oxidation of
this product has been raised from 50% to 90%. This
product obtained a China Invention Patent on Sep. 2ed
2009 (patent No.: ZL 200710023510.0).

High Solid Paint
It is absolute inevitable that high solid coatings emerges with the reinforcement of the Environment
Protection Law and the improvement of the technologies of paint manufacturing. A high solid coating
defines a paint of 60%-85% solid content. It will develop into Solvent Free coating ( a.k.a. Active Solvent
coating ) when it reaches its extremes, such as the rapidly emerging Polyurea Elastomeric coating.
Application and varieties: mainly used in automobile industry, especially applies for cars’ finishing coat
and floating coat. America now uses a 90% solid content paint for a car’s intermediate coat, and Japan
is catching up. It also applies in heavy anticorrosion projects such as marine and coastal facilities, and
petrochemical tanks.
High solid and low viscosity coatings advantages in:
1. It does not require major adapts of active construction equipments. The best fits are airless spraying
equipment and electrostatic airless spraying equipment.
2. Thinner usage reducing. Normally, it requires a small or zero number of thinners. VOC emission controls
under 200g/L ( general coatings are above 500g/L).
3. With applicable viscosity, it has high volumetric solids, dry film from one-time coating is 2-4 times thicker
than general coatings, so that reduces construction periods and labour costs.
4. High solid coating dries quicker. Less using of solvents means no requirement of volatilization time.
Solvent free coatings can be conveyed in one hour after paint work which largely increases the packing
efficiency.
Waterborne Coatings
Waterborne Coatingshave developed a fast progress in recent years. As the name implies,it is a coating that
uses water as solvent or dispersion medium and it can be classified into 3 types: water soluble paint, water
reducible paint and water dispersible paint,aka latex paint.
In accordance with the irreversible developmental trends such as : the needs of work safety, the
improvement of safety awareness, the rising costs of labour forces, the recognition of the water based paint
researching by the raw material providers, the prioritization of waterborne paint developing by the coatings
enterprises,etc, although waterborne coating is a relatively new paint, it is the future direction of paint
market.

requirement of enterprise transformation and upgrading, to human survival and science and technology

Lifting
Surface distortion or shriveling, while the topcoat is being applied or while drying.
● Improper dry. When undercoats are not thoroughly dry, topcoating can result in lifting;
●Wrong thinner. The use of top coating thinners increases the amount of substrate swelling and distortion which can lead to lifting.;
●Application of coats too heavily.
●Final topcoat should be applied when the previous coat is still soluble or after it has completely dried;
●Avoid incompatible materials, or incompatible sealers and primers;
●To make sure the second layer is thicker than the first layer in application.
Dry Spray
Dry Spray is a problem that occurs during painting and it can be a result of improper chemical mixing or technique while spraying. The surface will look granular and no gloss will be noticeable and not adhesive at all.
●Painting too fast and too far from surface;●Fanning your gun or improper angle to the
surface;●Using the wrong temperature solvents and
hardeners for the conditions;●Air Pressure too high;● Improper reduction with the result of too high
viscosity.
●Follow recommendations on the Technical Data Sheet for mixing ratio and reduction, appropriate to spray conditions;
●Adjust spray gun settings, spray pattern, fluid feed;
●Use recommended air pressure.
Orange Skin
Uneven surface formation - much like that of the skin of an orange. Paint droplets dry before they can flow out and level smoothly together.
●Too little air pressure, wide fan patterns or spraying at excessive gun distances causes droplets tobecome too dry during their travel time to the work surface and theyremain as formed by gun nozzle.
●Extreme shop temperature. When air temperature is too high, dropletslose more solvent and dry out before they can flow and level properly.
● Improper dry. Gun fanning before paint droplets have a chance to flowtogether will cause orange peel.
● Improper flash or re coat time between coats. If first coats areallowed to become too dry, solvent in the paint droplets of following coats will be absorbed into the first coat before proper flow is achieved.
●Wrong thinner. Paint thinned with fastevaporating thinners causes the atomized droplets to becometoo dry before reaching the surface. Too high viscosity.
●Low shoptemperature.●Too little thinner●Substrate not sanded thoroughly
●Use proper gun adjustments, techniques, and air pressure
●Schedule painting to avoid temperature and humidity extremes.
●Select the thinner that is suitable for existing conditions.
●Allow sufficient flash and dry time. Do not dry by high speed fanning.

●Reduce to recommended viscosity with proper thinner.
●Prepare and sand substrate correctly.
Sags
Heavy application of sprayed material that fails to adhere uniformly to the surface.
●Wrong thinner or too much thinner, therefore the volatilization of thinner is too slow.
●Paint film is too thick. ●Holding gun too close, or making too slow a
gun pass, or in wrong angle. ●Air temperature is too low●Bad ventilation, too much volatile organic
compounds in air.●Paint contains high density pigments that are
unable to dispersed well.●Surface is contaminated by oil, grease, old
paint film, etc. (causing lack ofatomization).
●Select proper thinner.●Limit the thickness range of
one coat.●Use proper gun adjustment,
techniques, and air pressure.●Allow the surface to warm up
to at least roomtemperature before attempting to refinish.
●Try to maintain an appropriate shop temperature for paintareas.

Fish Eyes
Small, crater-like opening in the finish after it has been applied.
●Contamination of air supply, by water or oil.
● Improper or insufficient surface cleaning or preparation.Many waxes and polishes contain silicone, the mostcommon cause of fish eyes. Silicones adhere firmly to thepaint film and require extra effort for their removal. Evensmall quantities in sanding dust, rags can cause this typeof failure.
●Effects of the old finish or previous repair. The old finishor previous repair may contain excessive amounts of silicone from additives used during their application. Usually solvent wiping will not removesilicone.
●Oil, wax, grease or silicone contamination.
●The temperature difference of paint and substrate is too large.
●Substrate is too smooth.
●Precautions should be taken to remove all traces of silicone by thoroughly cleaning the substrate.
●Drain and clean air pressure regulator daily to removetrapped moisture and dirt. Air compressor tank shouldalso be drained daily.
●Regular maintenance of the air supply.
Grit
A surface with this defect will show particles of different sizes deposited in the primer or color.
●Various types of contamination typically introduced during the application or drying process;
●Too much dust and dirt in application environment. Inadequate filtration of air;
●Dry spray dust settling on wet paint;●Wrong thinner, unable to dissolve paint
throughly;●Use of non-system curing agent.
Slow Dry
Paint takes a longer time to set up or dry than detailed in the Technical Data Sheet.

Loss of Gloss

Cracking

● Insufficient flash times between coats●Materials not uniformly mixed●Use of coats incompatible with each

Light Cover-age
Paint fails to fully hide the substrate surface to which it is applied.

and topcoat is too large, especially if the color of primer is too deep but the topcoat color is too light.
●Choose the paints with good coverage ability and mix thoroughly.
●Choose the paints with proper solids content, control the viscosity.
●Be aware of primer color.
