First Friday Holy Hour December 4th at 6pm instead of 7pm

Each first Friday of the month we have a 24 hour Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (from 8am Friday to 8am Saturday) with the Holy Hour of Prayer on Friday at 7pm (this month at 6pm). Adoration ends Saturday morning with Benediction before the 8am Mass.

St. Vincent de Paul Second Collection November 28th and 29th

This weekend we are having a second collection for Santiago’s St. Vincent de Paul ministry. 100% of your generous donations help our parishioners and their families in financial need, within the church’s boundaries. We continue to assist our parish families in crisis with rental and utility assistance, but the need is great and continues to grow. Thank you for your generous support

in the past. We cannot operate without you.

Foreign Currency and Tithing From time to time we receive foreign currency in our Sunday collection. Unfortunately, we are not able to deposit foreign monies with our bank. We hate to throw away currency just because it is of no use to the parish when we know it has value elsewhere, so we ask you to please refrain from contributing with foreign coin. We appreciate our parishioner’s time, talent and U.S. treasure!

First Sunday of Advent I will raise up for David a just shoot; he shall do what is right and just in the land. — Jeremiah 33:15

Bible Study Wednesday, December 2nd at 9am

and 7pm Chapter 3 of Mark’s gospel shows how Jesus challenges conventional ways and practices of his time and culture. Jesus sets people “free” and restores them to

human wholeness. A very interesting story about Jesus and his family is MK. 3:31-35, the final section. The crowd around Jesus uses the conventional meaning of “family”, but Jesus looks around and tells them, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

For further information, please call Nancy at 949-766-8126 or Barb at 949-768-1170.

On Nov. 30 & Dec. 2 – Advent Project in class! One parent is needed to stay with

child(ren) during class. One Monday class at 4pm still needs a teacher aide! Please call me if you are able to help out, or need a little more information about this volunteer position. God bless, Gloria Fetta 951-0792.
