Locate lithological and structural features and define chargeable, resistive or conductive anomalies indicative of the presence of disseminated sulfides in quartz/carbonate rich zone.
Acquire very good quality chargeability data using a high power pole-dipole induced polarisation survey to permit spectral analysis on the data. Process data using quality control program REFUSILO, inverse the data with Image2D, perform the spectral analysis and interpret it.

The integration of the transient voltage after current shut-off was performed over twenty windows (A// to M2o) of equal duration of 80 msec each (figure 4). Those twenty gates are automatically normalised in relation with the decay rate of the transient voltage due to a pure electrode polarisation effect. Therefore, all parasitic contribution to the signal can be filtered by observing the deviation between the values MI to M^o read at the receiver.

No artificial noise was experienced on McGarry North grid while on the McGarry South grid, the railroad tracks did introduce an artificial response in the chargeability and resistivity values. Quality control of the IP survey was mainly achieved by maintaining good electrical contacts with the ground in order to drive enough current and by stacking a proper number of voltage and chargeability measurements. Table l summarises the average level of some quality control parameters that were continuously monitored during the survey. Despite rigorous field quality control, very few chargeability readings were considered too noisy (TN) using statistical criteria based on the decay curves. Overall, less than 207o of the chargeability readings had to be removed from the data base.

4. DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
> Pseudosections
Plan maps :
The results of the induced polarisation survey are presented in the form of pseudosections and image2D true-depth sections of the apparent resistivity and chargeability and pseudosections of the four spectral parameters (Seigel chargeability, frequency dependence, time constant and Cole-cole fitting error), at a scale of l : 2500.
The results are also presented in the form of apparent resistivity and chargeability stacked pseudosections (maps 8.2 and 8.3). The principal interpreted anomalous EP zones have been reproduced on the geophysical interpretation map (10.0). All maps are presented at a l : 5000 scale.
> General reading distribution :
The apparent resistivity values vary from resistive features of about 3 000 Q-m to over 20 kQ-m to conductive area of l 000 Q-m or less. The apparent chargeability values vary from a background of about O mV/V to polarisable anomalies of 2.5 mV/V to ISmV/V. Chargeable and resistive zones should be viewed with care since the bedrock usually has a higher intrinsic chargeability and resistivity than the overburden. Bedrock ridges can easily introduce polarisable anomalies. Some topographical feature can also affect the resistivity readings such as swamps and creeks, which will introduce conductive responses at surface. They are easily recognisable on the resistivity true-depth section as responses that do not exceed about 25 metres of depth.
SUDBURY CONTACT MINES LTD page?
VAL D'OR SAG AX
> Anomalies detected :
McGarry North :
A total of two (2) anomalous lineaments were interpreted and labelled PD-1 and PD-2 and an isolated anomaly PD-3. Some isolated anomalies were also detected, but not labelled. Chargeable and resistive anomalies thought to be cause by bedrock ridges were interpreted on the pseudosections and maps as resistivity highs only. Large separation of 300 to 400 metres between surveyed lines makes anomalies extension's difficult to interpret.
PD-1 : This weakly polarisable anomaly is located on lines 1400E and 11 GOE around 1200N and seems to be restricted to surface with a weak extension at depth.
PD-2 : This anomaly is located on lines l GOE and 200W, at stations 1350N and 1425N respectively. It is partially associated with a resistivity high and is therefore, partially due to a bedrock effect or a resistivity quartz/carbonate rich zone. The response on line l GOE is fairly strong and is slightly offset with respect to the resistivity high. Some sulfide mineralisation should be expected at this location. Lines every 100 metres should be surveyed on each side of l GOE, from at least 300W to 400E, before a diamond drill hole target is recommended. There are some similar responses on line 400E, station 1280N and line 700E, station 1225N.
PD-3 : This anomaly is the strongest response of the survey and is located at line 1400E, station 1625N. It is associated with a resistivity high, but the high chargeability values indicate the presence of sulfide mineralisation. It does reach surface or at least, approaches it and surface exploration should be carried out in the area. If this anomaly is considered of interest, it should be surveyed on each side with lines every 100 metres as well as more to the north.
McGarry South
Line 1075E shows only very weak chargeability responses though to be caused by bedrock effects. The strong anomaly located at station 675S is due to the rail road tracks.
SUDBURY CONTACT MINES LTD page 8
5 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The induced polarisation l resistivity survey with the pole-dipole array carried out on the Kerrigan project permitted the detection of two (2) lineaments and a few isolated anomalies that were thought not to be entirely cause by bedrock ridges.
Surface recognition should be performed where the anomalies come close to surface. Responses PD-2 and PD-3 should be surveyed more completely with lines every 100 metres (see table 2). Sudbury Contact Mines Ltd. in the light of additional geo-scientific information, can modifv anv of these recommendations.
Table 2 : Recommendations and follow-up work to be completed on the Kerrigan project
