ConclusionsConclusions• Good Shepherd Ministries provides higher-level employees above-average

levels of compensation. • The hourly salaries offered by Good Shepherd Ministries are significantly

lower than Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. as well as the standards identified by NC Center for Nonprofits.

• The majority of employees who work directly with client services at Good Shepherd Ministries make less than $30,000 per year.

• The rates of accrual for paid time off is less than the standards identified by NC Center for Nonprofits and less than those offered by Raleigh Rescue Mission and Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc.

• Good Shepherd Ministries offers no retirement plan, unlike the other organizations examined.

• Good Shepherd Ministries does not provide benefits to part-time employees.• It would seem that the benefits and salaries offered by Good Shepherd

Ministries should be adjusted in order to meet the changing needs of today’s workforce.
