27-4 God help us this morning to enter into that inner Life. Quit staying out here where you're

tossed about by every wind of doctrine, every little thing that comes along. And don't you know the

Bible says in the last days that how men would come and be like angels of light in the last days? How they would take...?... and the devil's ministers are angels of light. Don't you realize that Eve was seeking

new light whence the devil talked to her and caused every graveyard to be out there, caused every

insane institution, caused every penal farm, caused every death, every sorrow, every starving baby,

every dying mama? She was searching for something new. She was looking for something that she

could find new.

  E-11    God destroys nothing. Man destroys himself by worldly wisdom. The first conflict that ever come

into the world was because that somebody was seeking after worldly wisdom in the stead of

simple faith in God. Listen to this.You say, "Doctor So-and-so doesn't believe it." That

doesn't change God's Word a bit. Remember, you are not saved by wisdom; you are not saved by your education; you are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Forget about your education. Be simple in your

own doctrine.

E-33 But you know sometimes it's unusual things that God appears in. God appears in the unusual

because God is unusual. He does unusual things. He appears at unusual times. And He's seen at unusual

times, when times you wouldn't think that you would--He'd be there, yet He's there. Very unusual. "He works in mysterious ways," the Bible said, "His

wonders to perform." Therefore that makes Him unusual.

And that's the way... We get into a usual trend of things and we miss God. It's the unusual that brings God many times, the unusual things, something...

We get so tied up into a certain creed, or something that we're trying to serve, and then

if everything doesn't come just according to the way we think it should, then we--we offset

it. "It's--it's not--it's not of God." We make a mighty mistake.

But where I've found the sweetest and blest of all was when we had little cottage prayer meetings.

God is in the unusual place and in the unusual things.

MATTHEW 13  10    And the disciples came, and said unto him,

perceive:   15    For this people's heart is waxed gross, and

[their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should

understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

  16    But blessed [are] your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

MATTHEW 11 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because

thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

20-3 {113} Many miss Him by the way He reveals Himself. Now, man has their own ideas of

what God ought to be and what God is going to do; and as I have made the old statement many times

that man still remains man. Man is always giving God praise for what He did do, and always looking

forward to what He will do, and ignoring what He's doing. See, see?

20-5 {114} That's the way they miss it. They look back and see what a great thing He done, but

they fail to see what a simple thing He used to do it with. See? And then they look forward and see

a great thing coming that's going to happen, and nine times out of ten, it's already happening right around them, and it's so simple that they don't

know it. See?

If you'd say, "Why would a just God do that?" Is because that man was made up in the

beginning not to try to shift for himself.A man was made to rely completely upon God. That's the reason we're likened unto lambs or sheep.

A sheep cannot lead himself; he has to have a leader; and the Holy Spirit's supposed to lead us. So

man is made that way, and God made all of His works so simple that the simple could understand it;

and God makes Himself simple with the simple in order to be understood by the simple.

22-2 {122} And otherwise, He said in Isaiah 35, I believe. He said, "Though a fool should not err

therein..." It's so simple. And we know that God is so great, till we expect it to be some great something, and we miss the simple things.

We stumble over simplicity. That's how we miss God, is by stumbling over simplicity. God is so simple until the scholars of these days and all days miss Him a million miles; because in their intellects, they know

that there's nothing like Him so great. But in His revelation, He makes it so simple they go plumb over

the top of it and miss it.

22-5 {125} Miss Him by the way that He reveals Himself, for He is so great, yet hides Himself in

simplicity to make Hisself known to the least. See? Don't try to get the great, because he goes over the top of it; but listen to the simplicity of God, and then

you find God right here in the simple way.High-polished worldly wisdom, educated, always

misses Him. Now, I'm not here... And I know there's school teachers, two or three that I know of setting in

here; and I'm not here to contradict school and education and try to support illiterateness; I'm not

here for that. But what it is, the people have so placed so much upon that, until they're... Even in the

seminaries and so forth they're missing the very thing that God has put before them.

II CORINTHIANS 11:3 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds

should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

28-4 {164} Now, then again in Moses' day, notice another time of deliverance. When God is just about to do something to deliver His people, God sends a message to the people, and it's so simple, as

we'll catch in the breaking of these Seals (That was my purpose of bringing this first.), that we find out that the breaking of those Seals is so simple, the--the--the smart miss it a million miles. See? I hope that God anoints me for it. See, see? It just

goes over the top.

Why don't you just come to Christ and settle the whole thing? Once borned again, that settles it forever. Once borned of the Spirit of God, you have

Everlasting Life and cannot come into condemnation, but passed from death to Life. Then you can enjoy

yourself. Then it's a pleasure to pray. You don't have to wonder about whether God's going. When you kneel to pray, you're right in His Presence. When you're walking on the streets, you're right in His

Presence. Wherever you are, you're in His Presence all the time, for you have perfect fellowship with the

Son of God.

I CORINTHIANS 1 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the

world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things

which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which

are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

E-18 But I'd been pastoring for twelve years, never received one penny of salary in my life. See? And I--I--I worked for a living. I was young and able, why not work. I was put here to do something, so I'd

preach the Gospel in the--the night and work in daytime. I've went a many time right through with my old ragged patrol clothes on, come to a farmers house and talk to him about the Lord; they'd say,

"Yes, I believe," and repent. I'd get my clothes, go right down to the river, the creek and

baptize them all in the Christian faith, walk on out start on down the line, walking again.

Met a hobo on the railroad track one day and led him to Christ. Walking about a half mile to an old pond, throwed back the scum, back like that, just had to hold him down a long time to get all of his clothes wet. Brought him back up. Yes, sir, that's right. He went on the road rejoicing. Down... He wet and me too. We... And he turned one way and me the other; shook one another's hand and hugged each other,

wet clothes on, going back to our work.Why, the Lord's real, He don't have to be all

dressed up to do anything. The inside's where it has to be dressed to do anything.

  156     Now the stabilizers has been put on the ship. Great fearful waves are out here before us; but we know, just beyond that wave yonder, we're nearing the shore. See? We're nearing the shore. Just

stay stabled. Just stay in the Word. Stay with God. No matter how you feel, what anything else; stay right with the Word. Let--let--let it stay stable, when you see all these great big old clouds around

us, and storms coming, and atomic bombs, and everything else they're talking about.

them. Yeah, we'll go right over the top of them. Yes, indeed! They, they can't sink us. They can't drown us. You put us in the grave; we'll come out again.

That's just all there is to it. There ain't no way in the world to keep it down there. We'll crest every one

of them, 'cause our great Chief Captain is calling at the other side.
