a smile can explain a million words

This year, International School Bangkok teachers and students arrived in Phuket,
Khao Lak, Rajaprajanugroh 35 School on February 15th to 20th, 2009. International School
Bangkok had a Tsunami Relief Network since the December 26th, 2004 tsunami tragedy. The
ISB Tsunami Relief Network aims to make a significant difference in the lives of the poor
children who were tsunami victims. Rajaprajanugroh 35 School is a lovable school that
welcomes kids to be a part of their family. The school’s name means mutual help and
support between the King (Raja) and the people (Praja). Many kids have lost their parents
because of Tsunami and, or abandoned by. Each and one of them, individually have lost
something in their heart. However, International School Bangkok has been supporting them
to let them know they will be forever loved and cared. Kids were extremely thrilled to see
people from ISB by their smiles. Just a little smile makes them and makes us really happy. The
victims and the orphans have hope and peace of mine. Their future is secured. Each of us
can feel proud of helping to make the children’s dream come true.
International School Bangkok has been donating books, color pencils, board games,
lockers, playgrounds and buildings, etc. Eventually, little donations that ISB have been
offering gradually improve their education and better living conditions. These gifts that ISB
presented shined the kids to smile and let them feel loved. The students and teachers have
helped dig for tree as benefits of being green, environmental, and shades for the kids. As
well as helping the people to make concrete by carrying buckets is an honor for ISB
students and teachers. By helping, the process will become faster and a quicker use for the
students in school. Teaching the kids was the most memorable moment. Interacting with the
kids from K through P through M classes and communicating made a huge impact to them
and to ISB students. Some interactions ISB have done with Rajaprajanugroh 35 School
students were activities such as handprints of “What do I like,” playing hangman, staying
after school to play with them, and sports. Hopefully by taking actions and offerings can
help heal their personal tragedies. ISB students learned communications importance and
the strength of loving and caring. “We cherish the time spent with you.”
