The People Situation; # 1

Great People know what they’re doing!

1. This means training, it means learning, it means you are going to have to check they know.

2. You will set the goals and objectives for the hour/day/week/month/year.

3. You will have to agree with your people what they are going to do and how.

4. You will have to be good to the people, respect what they do and reward with thanks and praise what they do.

Great People know why they are doing what they do

1. Review, appraise and feedback, in short communicate what the outcome has to be and Great People will respond.

2. Explain what your client needs in simple, understandable terms pitched at the level of your people.

Great People know what is expected of them

1. Okay so you’ve explained and trained and provided the tools and resources. Now you have to set goals.

1. Rewards are important!2. Never, pay low. Cheap labour = cheap effort3. Chap effort NEVER pays off4. Say thank you, say well done5. BUT6. Only when its truly deserved

Great Products; #1

Great Products are value for money!

1. This is not cheap, this is not low cost. What you offer as a product or a service must do exactly what you say it will.

2. What you offer must not exceed the price you quote, ever!

3. What you offer must be delivered on-time, correctly packaged and to the correct location.

4. What you offer must be at the market value or better.

Great Products; # 2

Great Products means;

1. They last as long as you say they will, a guarantee says it better than anything else. If you believe in your product, say so with a guarantee of service.

2. They will be priced at the correct level, low prices means low expectation and low expectation will not bring repeat custom. Price your products correctly and the market will understand the value to them and to you. Over priced products don’t sell.

3. You are the expert about your product. You must be able to tell your customer and your people all about your product. Your customer will expect this.

Great Profits

1. Great Profits means you make money, you make more money than it cost to deliver the product or service.

2. You must understand where your profit comes from, the product or the supporting services

3. You must be able to reinvest in your business, in your product and most importantly in your people.

4. You must be able to reward yourself and be totally ecstatic with what you get.

5. Great Profits = A Great Business
