Broad Objective
The broad objective of this report is to observe understand strategies
and study the activities of Electric Voucher operation of Mass
Market and Sales distribution of Banglalink.
Specific Objectives
The specific objectives of the study are as follows:
To know the EV operational activities.
To learn the process of SIM swap.

To verify the Faulty SIM check and update the user status.

Everyday Zonal Sales manager report us with a request for retailers i’top-Up Sim swap. They attached an excel file which is contained with the region, distributor name, retailer code and the lost I’top-up mobile number, new Sim Serial number and lastly reason for the swap. My task is replace this sim with new sim serial number with the help of the EV operation system and finally ready a reply mail to ZSM.

SIM Configuration:
Another Important and essential task of EV operation system.. With this sim
configuration process, we configure retailers I’top-up Sim. Regionals sales gave us the
information of distributors in an excel sheet. My task is entry each of information on
banglalink’s EV operation system. First, I have to input the distributor name. If system
allows the distributor then I can input other information. Then I have to fill the other
blank spaces of dealer name, retailer name, retailer code, address, thana (state) , date,
balance, SMS ID, retailer PIN. Once i input all information successfully, then system
activated the SIM
Faulty SIM Check
Banglalink makes their SIM and scratch card by third parties. Banglalink gives this
responsibility to two of Bangladeshi vendor Silkways and Eastcompeace.
Sometimes for their technical fault, sim shows insert, invalid or network failure
status. Then retailer returns this faulty sim to distributors. Distributors are reporting
to regional sales support with faulty SIM. Finally all regional sales support reports
to central sales support via mail and Courier faulty sim in Banglalink’s Head quarter.
My task is to checking all the sim one by one whether the SIM are intact or not. Then
update all sim status in an excel sheet.

Distributors from 12 region of Bangladesh reports to Zonal Sales managers for i’top-up sim for their retailers. Zonal Sales Mangers
are report to us for configure and courier this i’top-up sim. My task
is to configure and carefully packet this i’top-up sim. Like Communic Trade link a distributor wants 200 SIM for their
retailers and my job is to configure this 200 Sim and packet them
carefully and send it to dispatch. Dispatch task is to courier this
i’top-up sim packets to their regional addresses.

The employees in Banglalink are so much busy in their responsible fields,
they could hardly provide little time to discuss with them.
Sometimes it takes long time for update the database of all types of information.
Working hour is 9 a day that is excess for interns.
We can take only 3 days leave during these 3 months internship period.
External recruitment system is weak. There is no written exam in external
recruitment. And in internal recruitment process is good but selection
process was weak.
In Banglalink I always had to go through specific instructions performing
my task and I could not perform my task in my own way.
In Banglalink I had found that there have rules for using internet. Higher
level employee just can access to internet. There hadn’t any permission for
lower level employee to access internet. Banglalink didn’t provide internet
facility.
I have learned about the organizational behavior, i.e. how individuals and
groups act in the organization
I have learned about EV operation sales support. I learned how to configure
and swap sim how to update their database.
This intern program increased my software knowledge, increased writing
skill and spoken skill, Microsoft office skill.
Learend about the working environment of the service industry.
Learned about the corporate culture & behavior and learn how to deal with
corporate peoples.
Time management is very crucial factor in an organization and here I learned
about time management. How to utilize my time & done my responsibilities
in a timely schedule.
Banglalink can Increase number of staff in research division. Need
more market research.
When an intern involve in a project, department should give them
more space more freedom to work.
Banglalink should change their marketing strategies. They have to
think about market leader position.
Need more segmented marketing promotions, strategies and offerings.
Banglalink should be more conscious about their network. Lots of
upazilla is out of reach of Banglalink 3G. So build up a network
which is reach of every upazilla of Bangladesh.
Recruitment process should be done focusing on external candidates so that qualified people from outside the company get a chance to join Banglalink.
