Beginning of the First year BE classes was

initiated by conducting the Fresher's day & orienta-

tion program on 6th August of 2017. The Chief

guest of the day was Sri. Mohan Sridharamurthy,

Senior Engineering Management Executive, Banga-

lore and the function was presided by the principal

Speaking on this occasion Sri. Mohan Sri-

dharamurthy addressed to the newly admitted stu-

dents and their parents about requirements of auto-

motive industry, software development, aerospace

from engineering students and corresponding aca-

demic performance and Engineering ethics.

and also in brief about various committee

formed in the institute such as anti-ragging,

students counselors, hostel welfare commit-

tee, women welfare committee etc. Princi-

Blood Donation Camp

Students donating the Blood during Blood Donation

Camp

Blood Donation Camp was organized in the

JIT Campus on 11/11/2017, in association

with Youth Red Cross Wing, NSS Unit, JIT,

Davanagere, HDFC Bank, Davangere, S.S

Blood Bank, Davanagere. JIT Students volun-

tarily participated in Blood Donation Camp.

About 73 units of Blood was donated by the

students.

Pledge Ceremony of Swachh Baharat Program

Pledge Ceremony

On 13thspetember, Director, the staff

members and students of JIT took the

Swachh Pledge to keep the office premises

clean and committed to ventilate the message of

Swachh Baharat Mission to many more. Unani-

mously all agreed to contribute at least two

hours every week for this noble cause. It was

decided to conduct some events during this

Pakhwada to promote the awareness on Swachh

Bharat Mission.

In addition to the routine activities of cleanliness

a special campus cleaning drive was organized

to clean the college premises of the campus on

14/09/2017.

We focus on enhancing students’ ability to think.

I am very proud to say that Karishma G. Rathod

student of Civil Engg got sixth rank in university

examination.

Students of Department of Mechanical Engg, did

a project on Bio-fuel which received a sponsor-

ship from Karnataka state Science and Technolo-

gy, and also best project award for this year. The

notable achievements in this year are good re-

sults, establishment of new labs. Students partici-

pated in university level sports. Two students are

selected for representing university level KHo-

Kho team.

As we are entering into seventh year number of

students and faculty strength is increased.In JIT

we impart quality education to our students.

Placement and training department has conducted

the training program for final year students.

JIT is growing every year to higher level. I look
