POST TITLE ： Foreign teachers in Zhengzhou Schools,

Henan Province

Job Description:

⚫ Location: Zhengzhou city, Henan Province

⚫ Position: Foreign ESL teacher

⚫ Age requirement: 21-60

⚫ Educational background: Bachelor degree or above

⚫ Experience: teaching related

⚫ Visa type: work visa

⚫ Contract duration: at least 10 months

⚫ English language qualification such as TESOL, TEFL, ESOL,CELTA

preferably

Responsibilities:



⚫ Prepare and deliver oral English lessons and design students’ activity;

⚫ Prepare appropriate teaching plans and mark exam papers;

⚫ Assess students’ work and provide feedback;

⚫ Attend staff activities and obey educational policies and special procedures;

⚫ Maximum teaching hours: 35 per week (5 days a week);

⚫ Office hour: According to school arrangements;

⚫ Student age: 3-6; 4-12; 7-12;18-21;

⚫ Class size: above 12; above 35; above 40; above 70;

⚫ Textbook: According to schools’ arrangements;

⚫ Must be willing to participate in the school activities.

Compensation:

⚫ Monthly salary depending on qualifications and experience;

⚫ Free apartment or Housing allowance 1500-2,000RMB depending on location or

off-campus furnished accommodation;

⚫ Comprehensive medical and accident insurance while you are employed in

China;

⚫ 11 paid public holiday per year, 7days paid for legal holiday in Chinese new year;

Introduction to Zhengzhou:

Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan Province, is located in the middle of

China, about 760km south of Beijing and 480 Kilometers east of Xian. After the

completion of Longhai Railway and Jingjiu Railway, Zhengzhou, where these two

railways intersected, became a vital transportation hub. Thanks to this important

position, the city has prospered.



With a pleasant climate, Zhengzhou is welcoming all year round. The hottest

month is July and the Average temperature is about 27℃（80.6F）while the coldest

month is January with an average temperature of -0.2℃. Autumn and Spring are the

best and the peak tourist seasons. You can enjoy a more beautiful Zhengzhou at that

time.

The city is a national historical and cultural city and also the first destination for

any Henan Tour. This ancient city was once the capital of Shang Dynasty 3500 years

ago where porcelain and the Chinese technique of bronze smelting were

comparatively more developed. A green ceramic glaze pot unearthed in Zhengzhou

has been shown to be the most ancient porcelain in China. The long history has

endowed Zhengzhou with many cultural and historic sites. Shaolin Temple situated at

the foot of Mt.Song is the cradle of Shaolin Kong Fu. If you are interested in Chinese

Kong Fu, the temple and the performances must be seen. As one of the four

Academies of Classical Learning in the Song Dynasty, Songyang Shuyuan gives a

complete depiction of Chinese ancient education. In addition, many ancient tombs,

temple building and battle sites all show the dense culture of Zhengzhou.
