A visit to the 2013 Canadian Coffee and Tea Show
The Canadian Coffee & Tea Show returned to Vancouver to host exhibitors and attendees from around the globe. The show catered to individuals in the industry who share a passion for coffee and tea. The event was very educational and a great opportunity to participate in skill testing competitions, as well as generate industry contacts.
Attendees were able to experience many educational seminars conducted by industry experts. On the trade show floor, I met leading local, national and global suppliers with the finest equipment, products and services available. The following pictures are from my visit to the show.

Canterbury Coffee – One of North America's largest specialty coffee distributors. Introducing a single serving 90% biodegradable coffee delivery system.
The material should break down in a landfill with just a little bit of moisture. Its nylon filter is the only thing that cannot be recycled, though the company is working towards replacing it with a degradable substance.

Mother Parkers Tea and Coffee. The 4th largest roaster in North America behind Folgers, Maxwell House and Starbucks.

Erdem Imports introduced an innovation in Turkish coffee with a coffee that can be brewed in 5 seconds. The procedure is the same as with instant coffee.
Coffee De Olla from Garcomex.com in Mexico
Garcomex Mexican Cafe de Olla is an earthy mixture of Viennese-roast coffee, cinnamon, anise, and piloncillo (Mexican dark brown sugar).
Traditional Mexican Cafe de Olla is prepared in an earthenware pot called an olla.
