• All sites are of a significant size (100 hectares)
• Considerable age (60 -100 years)
• Different operations at each site
• Surveys conducted of soil, structures & equipment
• Identified asbestos, lead, PCBs, mercury, chromium6+, VOCs and others.

ROLE OF THE OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENIST
• Develop:• Hazardous materials management plan;
• Hazardous materials removal guidelines;
• Asbestos management plan;
• Asbestos register & update as necessary.
• Oversee drafting of detailed specifications for regulated materials;
• Coordinate hazardous materials testing.
• Due diligence checks of OH consultants.
