Pink Glove Dance Competition

The Pink Glove Dance (PGD) has inspired hundreds of PGD videos, thousands of PGD dancers and millions of people around the globe.

2009: The original Pink Glove Dance video, produced by Medline, featured 200 healthcare workers from Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. It debuted on YouTube® and has been viewed nearly 14 million times.

2010: The PGD Sequel featured 11 hospitals, 3 nursing homes, and 4,000 pink glove dancers and breast cancer survivors from the US and Canada.

2011: The first PGD Competition received 139 video entries and 17,000 dancers.

2012: The second PGD Competition brought in 3.2 million views, 200,000 votes, thousands of tweets, blogs, texts and 275 videos.

To date, Medline has donated more than $1.2 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in support of free education and free mammograms for underserved women. The result of our donation has led to nearly 200,000 breast cancer screenings and diagnostic procedures at medical facilities nationwide, as well as countless hours of free education.

In addition to the sale of our Pink products and the Pink Glove Dance competition, Medline hosts education and awareness events including our annual Breast Cancer Awareness Breakfast.
