Jacques leads EDANA’s Market Analysis and Economic Affairs department and provides industry analyses to the nonwovens community. He manages several of the association’s working groups like the Bitumen Roofing Membranes WG, Film Producers WG and any group which has a market analysis perspective. He is also the co-author of the Worldwide Outlook for the Nonwovens Industry Report.

David is an experienced industry editor and industry analyst with a background in nonwovens, newsprint, printing, writing papers and publishing. He spent over 30 years in the nonwovens and pulp and paper industries and his subsequent experience has focused on market strategy development, product management, price analysis and forecasting, with major pulp and paper producers.

David attended the University of California at Berkeley, majoring in political science.

Hans-Georg is the Technical Director of Reifenhäuser Reicofil. He has been with the Reifenhäuser Group since 1989. Before assuming his current role in 2006, he was field engineer, then head of research and development.

Hans-Georg holds several patent applications in the field of spunbound and meltblown technology and has authored several papers and publications. He is a graduate in Process Engineering from University of Applied Science, Cologne.

12:00pm Latest innovations for the Use of Recycled Fibres for Nonwovens Carding Lines Thierry Masi, Sales Director, Laroche, France

Thierry is the Sales Director at Laroche, in charge of the Europe, Russia & Israel markets, a position he has held since 2006. Before joining Laroche, he was the Area Sales Director for Asselin-Thibeau (now part of Andritz Group).

Thierry is a textile engineer graduate from ENSAIT (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles).

2:00pm New Ways of Imagining Sustainable Nonwovens Simon Fremeaux, R&D Production Manager, CETI, France

Simon is the R&D Production Manager at CETI. He manages both private and collaborative projects, working on design solutions to prototype production. He began his career 10 years ago with polyamide maker, Nylstar, before joining Dounor, a spunbond/meltblown manufacturer of hygiene products where he was in charge of technical services.

Simon is a textile engineering graduate.

2:20pm Advanced Nonwovens Composites for Meeting Industrial Needs Sohel Rana, Lecturer in Technical Textiles, School of Applied Sciences, University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom

Dr. Rana is a Lecturer in technical textiles in the School of Applied Sciences at University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom. He was a key researcher in developing multi-functional and bio-based hierarchical composites, and high performance auxetic structures and composites for personal protection applications.

Sohel has also edited numerous books on advanced textile and composite materials, and published over 35 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in textile technology from University of Calcutta, and Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Fibre Science and Technology from Indian Institute of Technology.

2:40pm Increased Productivity for Finest Fibre Webs by Modified Melt Blown Technology Martin Hoss, Research Scientist, Deutsche Institute fur Textil (DITF) und Faserforschung Denkendorf, Germany

Martin is Research Scientist/Engineer, Filament and Nonwovens Technologies with DITF. He has worked on the design and construction of fibre processing equipment, 500mm meltblow line, and filament spinning lines (mono and bicomponent fibres), amongst other projects. He is also the project/scientific engineer on several public and contract research projects.

Martin is a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Andreas founded The Fiber Year GmbH in 2010 to provide expertise to the international textile industry and to produce The Fiber Year, an annual textile yearbook delivering a world survey on fibres, yarns and nonwovens. In 2018, he joined Groz-Beckert where he was responsible for product marketing, innovation and the new service The Fabric Year which reveals the latest market developments annually. By end 2018, he resumed management of The Fiber Year GmbH.

Prior to setting up The Fiber Year, Andreas had worked in Barmag and Saurer. He is a business management and marketing graduate.

Stefano coordinates and supervises the activities of Extreme Automation, A.Celli’s new specialised division for Industry 4.0 projects and products since 2018. He joined A.Celli in 2017, handling commercial agreements and legal assessments at the group holding company’s legal department.

A lawyer admitted to the Italian Bar with a post graduate specialisation in corporate law, compliance and commercial matters, Stefano began his professional career in a law firm based in Lucca and Rome.
