4 INSTALLATIONThe installation must be executed by a professional.

4.1 Mains supplyNOTE!Mains supply requirements

High power equipment may, due to the primary current drawn from the mainssupply, influence the power quality of the grid. Therefore connection restrictionsor requirements regarding the maximum permissible mains impedance or therequired minimum supply capacity at the interface point to the public grid mayapply for some types of equipment (see technical data). In this case it is theresponsibility of the installer or user of the equipment to ensure, by consultationwith the distribution network operator if necessary, that the equipment may beconnected.

6 MAINTENANCERegular maintenance is important for safe, reliable operation.

Maintenance may only be carried out by an authorised technician. Only personnel with theappropriate electrical skills (authorised staff) may remove safety plates.

CAUTION!All warranty undertakings from the supplier cease to apply if the customerattempts any work to rectify any faults in the product during the warranty period.

6.1 Inspection and cleaningCheck regularly that the control unit is not clogged with dirt.

How often and which cleaning methods apply depend on:

• welding process• arc time• location of the unit• surrounding environment

Usually it will be sufficient to blow the unit clean once a year, using dry compressed air(reduced pressure).
