AABN LAUNCHES WEBSITE

AABN STAFF WITH YOUTH AND SMEs AT AABN WEBSITE LAUNCH

African Aurora Business Network (AABN), a leading business advisory service-focused enterprise development organisation, launched a new website at the AABN Innovation Centre in Kokomlemle. AABN developed and launched the website as part of the Youth Inclusive Entrepreneurial Development Initiative for Employment (YIEDIE).

YIEDIE is creating economic opportunities for youth ages 17-24 in Ghana’s construction sector by training young women and men in technical construction skills and helping youth to grow and start small businesses. It is increasing collaboration and support against construction sector stakeholders to improve their enabling environment.

The new website is facilitating business advisory services for AABN’s clients in a cost effective manner, and aims to reach 10,000 users daily. AABN also introduced other technologies, including IP Telephony, AABN Advisory Ticket and Video Conferencing to enable our clients to have access to advisory services nationwide.

At a program attended by representatives from Global Communities, HFC-Boafo, GBN Concepts, Lifebridge Academy and StigmaStrat, Executive Director of AABN Maureen Erekua Odoi noted that the technological development will save our cherished clients time, money and other relevant resources, which drives their business growth.

“The website will give access to training and advisory service for the vulnerable groups who are intellectually capable but economically limited when it comes to access. Start-ups, women in business, Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), young entrepreneurial graduates and the underserved youth can now access business advice and support,” she added.

The website launch was marked by 10 youth and 8 SMEs of the Young Executive Business Growth Program (YEBGP) pitching their business plans to a grand jury that assessed their performance. The jury commissioner, Enoch Agyeman, Chief Executive Officer of StigmaStrat, supervised the pitching process to ensure that scores given were fair and just on March 10. Mrs. Awurabena Okrah, Chief Executive Officer of Winglow Fashion Academy, emerged winner of the business pitch taking a prize that included one year of free advisory services.
