4. Written Test Scoring

a. Seniors- their test scores will be countedtoward placement

b. Juniors- their test score will not becounted towards placement

a. The highest team score will be taken andused for the school’s placement

a. Any individual caught cheating duringthe written exam will be disqualified

b. Any team caught cheating during thehands-on contest will be disqualified

c. Only seniors are allowed to competeduring the hands-on contest, ifunderclassmen are discovered the schoolwill be disqualified

a. Must be a seniorb. During the competition the alternate

may observe but in no way participatec. If a competitor has a medical or family

emergency an alternate can compete intheir place

a. Any high school automotive programthat competes

a. Seniors onlyb. Must accept their scholarship with WSU

Automotive Technology departmentbefore given deadline.

i. If the deadline is missed, thescholarship is forfeited

a. Seniors onlyb. Two competitors and one alternate from

each school

a. NATEF certified automotive programsonly

*b. If a school is not NATEF certifiedi. The vehicle will be given to next

NATEF certified school in placementii. A prize substitution will be awarded

to the non-NATEF school

*Due to the limitations placed on WSU by the automo-tive manufacturers, vehicles and components will be awarded based upon availability from manufacturers.

a. It is expected that all visiting students,high school instructors, administratorsand parents conduct themselves in aprofessional and sportsmanlikemanner.

b. Anyone displaying inappropriatebehavior will be asked to leave.

a. The highest senior test score from eachschool will be taken and used for theschool’s placement

c. The scholarship monies are to be usedstrictly for full-time (min of 12 credithrs.) automotive students earning anautomotive degree and/or certificateand taking automotive courses

d. Scholarships will not be held forindividuals serving a religious mission
