Explanation of Activities

Activity 1: The students will be matching the beginningsound with the correct object. They will practice saying

the sound when they pick a letter card and practicesaying the word when they pick an object card. Thisgives them an opportunity to practice it orally, visually,and practice listening to the sounds made by fellowclassmates.

Activity 2: This will follow visiting the website and thestudents will practice matching the pictures to thecorrect object that begins with that sound. Studentswill first go through and identify each picture and the

beginning sound it has and then match it with thatcorrect letter.Activity 3: Kristy J posted this SmartBoard activity to the

Smart Exchange website. This activity helps studentspractice their skills of detecting the beginning sound.The slides have every letter of the alphabet and will letthe correct answers enter the barrel and the incorrectanswers remain outside of the barrel.
