Established a conceptual understanding of the DLA project

Finalized the parts list of gas system for DLA setup (waiting for the finalquotes from Swagelok & Praxair)

Setting up three Mightex cameras for DLA diagnostics with Labview

Currently configured for 2 cameras w/ live mode, trying to implement 3

Needs To Do:

1 Place an order for gas system parts this week

2 Finish the Labview control of three cameras w/ triggered mode

3 Identify the electronics module for motion control system used inside thevacuum chamber

4 Liquid crystal polarization converter test with ∼12 mJ, 30 fs pulses

Completed:

Established a conceptual understanding of the UVS project

Reproduced some of the simulation plots in the proposal

Created a preliminary design for a pulse stretcher based on the proposal

Trying to establish a beam propagation model based on the properties ofPalitra beam

Identifying the specs for optical/mechanical elements used in the stretcher

Needs To Do:

1 Elements to characterize the stretched pulse

2 Make a parts list for basic UVS system

3 Think of a way to reduce environmental damage caused by UV light
